CHRISTMAS IN MY TOWN: AQUAINTANCE ACTIVITY CARRIED OUT DURING THE PERIOD OF THE CHRISTMAS PREPARATIONS (NOVEMBER - DECEMBER 2014) IN ALL THE PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS.

Parents were involved in this activity. The children in each school, walked around their town, observed the christmas decorations and photographed every spot they found interesting.  All the photos were sent by e-mail to the teachers, who created with them a video presentation for each school seperately. Children had the opportunity, by watching all the videos, to find out more about christmas in the other regions, to compare and locate differences as well as similarities. All videos are presented below.

ΧΡΙΣΤΟΥΓΕΝΝΑ ΣΤΗΝ ΠΟΛΗ ΜΟΥ: ΔΡΑΣΤΗΡΙΟΤΗΤΑ ΓΝΩΡΙΜΙΑΣ ΠΟΥ ΥΛΟΠΟΙΗΘΗΚΕ ΚΑΤΑ ΤΗ ΔΙΑΡΚΕΙΑ ΤΗΣ ΧΡΙΣΤΟΥΓΕΝΝΙΑΤΙΚΗΣ ΠΕΡΙΟΔΟΥ (ΝΟΕΜΒΡΙΟΣ 2014 - ΔΕΚΕΜΒΡΙΟΣ 2014) ΣΕ ΟΛΑ ΤΑ ΣΥΜΜΕΤΕΧΟΝΤΑ ΣΧΟΛΕΙΑ

Οι γονείς συμμετείχαν σε αυτή τη δράση. Τα παιδιά σε κάθε σχολείο, περιπλανήθηκαν στην πόλη τους, παρατήρησαν τον χριστουγεννιάτικο διάκοσμο και φωτογράφησαν κάθε σημείο που βρήκαν ενδιαφέρον. Όλες οι φωτογραφίες στάλθηκαν με e - mail στους εκπαιδευτικούς, οι οποίοι δημιούργησαν με αυτές μία βιντεοπαρουσίαση για κάθε σχολείο ξεχωριστά. Τα παιδιά είχαν την ευκαιρία, παρακολουθώντας όλα τα βίντεο, να ανακαλύψουν περισσότερα για τα χριστούγεννα στις άλλες περιοχές, να συγκρίνουν και να εντοπίσουν διαφορές, καθώς και ομοιότητες. Όλα τα βίντεο παρουσιάζονται στην συνέχεια.

a) CHRISTMAS IN BRUSSELS - BELGIUM

The children of the Maternal ELa class in the European School of Brussels, took photos of several spots in Brussels, during the period November 2014 - December 2014. Their photos are presented in the following video, which was created by their teacher Dimitra Arampatzi (computer programs used: CorelDraw ver. 11, Windows Movie Maker)

Les enfants de la classe maternelle ELa de l'Ecole Européenne Bruxelles III ont pris des photos de plusieurs endroits dans leur ville, pendant la période Novembre - Décembre 2014. Leurs photos sont présentées dans cette vidéo.

 

b) CHRISTMAS IN THESSALONIKI - GREECE

The children of the 2nd Maternal School of Stavroupolis, in Thessaloniki  photographed their city, during the period November - December 2014. Their photos are presented in the following video, created by their teacher Evrinomi Agtzoglou (computer program used: Windows Movie Maker)

c) CHRISTMAS IN XALKI - GREECE

The children of the Maternal School of Xalki photographed several spots and were photographed in their school, in their village and in the surrrounding area, during the period November 2014 -  December 2014. The photos are presented in the following video, created by their teacher Stathoula Printziou (computer program used: Windows Movie Maker)

d) CHRISTMAS IN MYTILINI - GREECE

The children of the 5th Maternal School of Mytilini photographed several spots in their town during the period November 2014 - December 2014. They also chose several photos from their christmas activities in class, as well as the presentation of their school christmas performance. All photographs were used by their teacher Gavriella Zeeri, to create the video presented below  (computer program used: Windows Movie Maker)

e) WHAT I LIKED MOST OF THE VIDEOS:

After having watched the videos, the children of the 5th Maternal School in Mitilini discussed about them and decided to draw what they liked most about them. Their teacher concentrated all their drawings and created the following presentation to send it to the other partners (computer program used: PowerPoint)
