COTTAGE OF POT
(ROMANIAN TRADITIONAL TALE)
In the middle of the field sat a pot overturned; and was the great-great pot, as a barrel.
One day a mouse pass there and see that empty pot.
"Hi, is this house?" he thought. "Whose is it?".
–Little house , who stay here?. But no reply.
Mouse looked in all directions, but did not see anyone. Only two flies, and they who came after eating there, stood up in two legs; but no mouse has not heeded.
"Take me to move and I stand here alone." And mouse was placed in the pot.
One day passes by a frog.
- Little house who lives here?
-I mouse!
-But who are you ?, answer mouse in bottom of the pot.
-I am the frog! If you like come in the pot and live together.
Frog jumped in the pot and stayed tighter with mouse .
Through the field passed a rabbit and seeing that giant pot upside down, he stopped and asked:
- Little house, who lives here? We are: frog-frog and mouse-mouse. But who are you?
I'm fugitive over fields and valleys small rabbit.
-Do not let me to sit with you in? Here does not rain, no burning sun and no wind.
-Gladly, brother! Come in and living together as best friends! Rabbit moved in the pot and live together as best kith.
Someday pass along in front of pot a red-fox and ask:
-Little house, who stay here? We live: rabbit ,frog-frog and mouse-mouse.
-But who are you?
-I'm your sister red fox. For me it’s not a place ? Oh my, I ran out of the house!
-Yes, it is: come and see our cottage is a friendly place.
Thank you! I expected it too. And the red- fox was sitting in the pot and they lived together for several days.
Wolf comes not know where sees large pot: he figured that it be someone inside.
-Little house , who lives here? I, red-fox, rabbit with frog-frog and mouse-mouse.
-But who are you?
- I'm a wolf poor homeless. I did not have friends and I could live here with you ?
-It can, why not! We find a place for you in this pot! He entered in the pot , and they lived together many months.
I do not know where it came the bear Martin. He was angry and tired, that had walked all day for food and as seen pot in middle of field, therefore has not figured it inside a cottage with guests; and was sitting on it, to rest a little. But how it was settled, pot: Poc! Smack!Smack!
Was shattered into pieces and bears...
Why did the bear? It chose a good scare and the others fled wherever they have seen it.
