    About the project

The project is aimed at helping our students to raise their awareness of the diversity of our world and to understand that this diversity of religions, languages, cultures and ethnicities can't be a pretext for conflict but a treasure that enriches us all. Exploring their own environment and those of their peers in the other partner schools should help young students develop capacities for independent judgement, critical thinking and ethical reasoning.

    Aims

Make the students use English as a tool to communicate and choose ICT to achieve it.
Improve their fluency in English by working on the communication skills: reading, writing speaking and understanding.
Get to know other countries peoples, school systems, ways of life and habits, ethnic groups, immigration and refugees policies.
Develop capacities for independent judgement, critical thinking and ethical reasoning.

    Work process

Sept.: Planning, aplication and registration in the TwinSpace.
Oct.: Students have to introduce themselves and produce a quiz with questions and multiple choice answers about their own country.
Nov.: Solve the other schools' quizzes and contribute to a forum about the most outstanding similarities and differences.
Dec: Produce a presentation (power point) about how people spend their winter holidays (celebration of Christmas or other traditions). Prepare and send a box to the partner schools with Christmas greeting cards.
Jan./Feb.: Produce a video about their own class, school, surroundings, ... and watch the other schools' videos to compare similarities and differences.
March: Focus on the nationalities, ethnic groups, ... present in their daily lives (school, neighbourhood, town, ...) and produce a chart using the data.
Apr./May: Discuss famous/important people in their country, focus on their representativity and values.
