One of the teachers had the idea of exchanging Christmas cards and we all thought it would be very exciting for the students to create and send Christmas cards for their team partners and get cards from them too. We provided the students with materials and let them use their imagination to create the card. Everybody had to make a Christmas card for every member in their team and write the name of the recipient on them, we then sorted them out putting together all the cards for each school and put them in three big envelopes to be send by post. Every time we received the big envelope from one of the schools we'd take it to class and it was great to see the students' excitement awaiting their Christmas card from their pals :) As trivial as this task may seem it helped create a wonderful mood of conviviality, sharing and goodwill that we normally share at Christmas and should try to extend to all year round.
