ACTIVITITIES TO PROMOTE CIVIC EDUCATION AND TOLERANCE

  • Spanish students organized some activities in two underprivileged neighborhoods of Lleida in order to encourage families, children and young people to be more tolerant with others and respectful citizens.

    Here you have some of these experiences:

    1. Neighbourhood cohesion(La Mariola district-30/05/17)

    Old people explain to young people the history of the community. The idea behind this activity is that people should know the place where they live to love it.

           

    2. Recycling fair(La Mariola district-30/05/17)

    The trash we throw on the floor can have other good uses. Children learnt the advantages of recycling rubbish.

    Children had fun together playing bowling with recycled plastic water bottles.

      

    4. Love a lively neighbourhood (Historic Centre district-31/05/17)

    How to be a good citizen, helping old people to cross the street and taking care of the urban environment classifying the trush.

    Lessons we can learn from our elders.

    Teenagers had fun playing this game, learning how to walk around the city, with respect for the urban rules.
