Who are we and why do we have this twinspace?

  • We are 5 schools across Europe, planning to work together during 3 years in an Erasmus+ exchange program. The topic for our project is Cultural Heritage through digital storytelling and gamification.

Every year of the exchange, we have another subtheme. The first year we work on the subtheme "Cultural Heritage, treasure or burden". So we will talk about controversial heritage, do we have to keep those things or not. Can we change this burden into a treasure.

All students will during the project physically meet students of 2 or 3 partner schools and they will virtually meet students of the 4 partner schools. This twinspace is made for the virtual meeting.

    Introduction: 4 different activities:

    • Students present themselves with a small movie (Flipgrid)
    • Students make little documentaries to present their school, town, country, ... (Adobe Spark or PowToon or ...)
    • Students make funny games for each other to learn each other’s language, to recognize each other, to get to know each other, … (Quizlet, LearningApp)
    • Students post a photo of a building, statue, streetname, … from their neighborhood that is controversial somehow and why they find it a burden or a treasure (twinboard)

Follow-up: after 2 exchange weeks (home and abroad): 2 different activities:

    • Students post a photo of  the heritage they saw during the projectweeks that they want to keep and explain why
    • Students fill in a survey (criteria: preparation, time investment, host families, …)
