Students prepared and distributed heart-shaped notes to people of our city. All these notes contained messages of joy, happiness, love, optimism and care for ourselves, fellow people, the animals and the environment.

Preparing the 4th Graders for the 5th Grade Science classes! Guided by the mainstream teachers, Ms Olga and Ms Despoina, the 5th Graders organise a Science Fair, arrange themselves in pairs, select an experiment, collect the necessary equipment and materials. Each pair sets up its station for the 4th Graders to move around and watch. There are 17 (!) stations for Chemistry, Physics and Robotics. The 5th Graders guide the younger students to get a taste of what there is to come next year like true Volunteers for the School Community! (10HPSGR)

Responding to the invitation made by our first volunteer-interviewee, the students make Easter candles for the local families that cannot afford them. At Easter, it is customary for children in Greece to have a colorfully-decorated candle or lantern to celebrate Christ's resurrection at church. (10HPSGR)
Aided by the municipal authorities and an NGO, the 5th Graders get the trees they need to plant in the schoolyard. They participate in the "Green Future" environmental project and they learn about climate change, recycling as well as how to plant and take care of a tree. (10HPSGR)
The 5th graders of Santa Teresa School from Vilanova, Spain, joined in the "Think Positive Day" It had been an amazing and sensitive activity. Students gave lots of heart-shaped notes with words related to emotions to passers-by, to people in the central market and to teachers and workers of the school. The gratitude towards the students was surprising. A big lesson to be learnt!
The 5th Graders of the 10th Helioupolis Primary School joined in the "Think positive" action preparing cards with positive messages and handing them out to locals & foreigners in the neighborhood as well as to teachers and students. "It feels soothing when you have a positive attitude and make others embrace it, too"
