Once upon a time there was a farmer who was a good miner. One day the farmer decided to go and mine somewhere.

He started to dig for hours on end. Then, while he was digging, he saw a very shiny thing—it was gold! The farmer took the gold and went back to his farm but some people saw the gold and started to chase him. 

The farmer threw the gold into the sea, so the people left. The farmer was upset in the end. 

In conclusion, people don't care about what you discover; they just want to steal it.
