The Human Rights

Human rights are standards that recognize and protect the dignity of all human beings. Human rights govern how individual human beings live in society and with each other, as well as their relationship with the State and the obligations that the State have towards them.

Human rights law obliges governments to do some things, and prevents them from doing others. Individuals also have responsibilities: in using their human rights, they must respect the rights of others. No government, group or individual person has the right to do anything that violates another’s rights. 

Menschenrechte sind Normen, die die Würde aller Menschen anerkennen und schützen. Diese Rechte regeln das Leben des Einzelnen in der Gesellschaft und sein Verhältnis zueinander sowie seine Beziehungen zum Staat und die Pflichten des Staates gegenüber ihm.

Die Menschenrechtsgesetze verpflichten die Regierungen zu bestimmten Handlungen und hindern sie daran, andere zu tun. Der Einzelne hat auch Pflichten: So wie er seine Rechte geltend macht, muss er auch die Rechte anderer respektieren. Keine Regierung, Gruppe oder Einzelperson hat das Recht, etwas zu tun, das die Rechte anderer verletzt.

Los derechos humanos son normas que reconocen y protegen la dignidad de todos los seres humanos. Estos derechos rigen la manera en que los individuos viven en sociedad y se relacionan entre sí, al igual que sus relaciones con el Estado y las obligaciones del Estado hacia ellos.

Las leyes relativas a los derechos humanos exigen que los gobiernos hagan determinadas cosas y les impide hacer otras. Las personas también tienen responsabilidades; así como hacen valer sus derechos, deben respetar los derechos de los demás. Ningún gobierno, grupo o persona individual tiene derecho a llevar a cabo ningún acto que vulnere los derechos de los demás.
