Visit to A. Bros Pitenis S.A.
On 7th May 2018 we visited one of the largest manufacturers and food markting companies in Greece that also exports productss in almost 40 countries worldwide. We were impressed by the factory and the way things work. We were also very impressed by the all the features of responsible companies Pitenis S.A. has. And this is why a lot of our students would really like working for the company.
In several places in the factory there are signs reminding everyone to care for the environment, not to spend energy and water irresponsibly.
All things considered, it was a very interesting visit and we learnt a lot of interesting things.

Our 2nd Skype Meeting
On May 2nd, 2018, we held our second Skype meeting. Students from both sides asked each other several questions about each others' daily life and routines, school life and future plans. It was interesting to get a closer look at what Slovak students had created from recycling material. Greek students had taken everything to EPADYM SA in order to take part in the competition the competition holds.
Financial literacy - how to treat our money responsibly?

How to be responsible in financial "area" - we had talk with financial advisor about it. Whether we need his services or not? what is he doing? how can such a person help us? Unfortunately we need money for our life - so we need to manage them in the best way we can.That´s the same for companies - they also need financial literacy. You can "discuss" with us about it here:

Today we have visited University of Economics in our capital Bratislava to hear more about corporate social responsibility in Whirpool - company where they manufacture washmaschines in Slovakia, in other countries also other similar products. We will use interesting facts about their approach in our presentations.
Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia

We visiited the Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia. There we attended a lecture on the features of modern companies and gave an interview to the TEI radio station "Just Radio" about our project. The visit took place on March 20, 2018.

EPADYM S.A. is a Special Purpose Vehicle established for the implementation of the project “Design, Financing, Construction, Maintenance and Operation of the Infrastructure of the Integrated Solid Waste Management System of the Region of Western Macedonia. We are very proud to have such a company in our region. Our presentation on the company gives a lot of information about it.
Our etwinning corner
We created a corner in the centre of our school, so that all students and teachers in the 2nd Vocational Lyceum get familiar with our project.

Energy in associations, Elektrárňa Piešťany

On February 28, 2018, we have visited the beautiful industrial building of Elektrarna Piešťany, which is now a community center. As part of our work on the eTwinning project Active Citizen Companies, we are also examining the relationship of the ideal society to the environment, and we hoped that the interactive workshop we are going to attend will explain what and how.

How does it look like when you try to be responsible entrepreneur? What can you do for the community? We ask the owner of creative agency.
As a conclusion we found Cukru most responsible in these areas:
- they support local community
- they created videos for free "Cukru supports" for subjects from non-profit sector, also for start - ups and for some ideas they found interesting
- they support beginning videomakers, project "Young videoninja"
- they offer workshops for non-profit organisations and individuals
