Palangos senoji gimnazija is provides secondary education for 15-19-year-olds. It is the only secondary school in the town for senior students with 46 teachers and 490 students. The aim of the school is to develope an independent, active, responsible person who is willing and able to constantly learn and create his / her own and community life. The school seeks coherence between community and society to help meet the new challenges of the present.

Particular pedagogical approach to sustainable development (what you do at school in that particular area) :

The school is located on the shores of the Baltic Sea, so the students' connection with the sea is daily and close. The school cooperates with the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Klaipeda University, whose researchers help our students to carry out research work, which is often related to the environment.

Every year our students participate in and win various competitions related to Natural Sciences and sustainable development.

Any particular projects in the European field :

2017-2019 Erasmus + Strategic Partnership (DARE: Democratic Actions Rule Europe) with Italy, Portugal and Bulgaria.

2019-2021 Erasmus + School Exchange Partnership (Cultural Heritage and Values Education in European Schools) with Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey, France and Italy.
