Paragraph about the school, its aims, age of students :

The IES Pedro Peñalver is a Secondary school with about 500 students whose ages range from11 to 17. There are three different levels with two different courses each. The 1st and 2nd courses of ESO (Compulsory Secondary Education) form the first level. The 3rd and 4th courses of ESO form the second level and the 1st and 2nd courses of Bachillerato, which are not compulsory, form the third level. The teaching staff is about 52 teachers, besides the attendant/s in charge of managing the students with special needs and some more employees. Four teachers are part of the direction.The school plan takes into account the social diversity and includes specific programs and also the attention to diversity. The importance of immigration from Morocco and the rest of Europe makes it necessary the establishment of special groups and the reinforcement of the Spanish language.

The sustainable development is approached in most subjects within their contents, as a cross-curricular content.
