Paper Roses Workshops

  • Materials and short instruction:

To make the paper rose, you need a special kind of paper, called crepe paper  - the thickest- different colours for the heads and green for the leaves and stalk. You also need: scissors, glue and two kinds of wire: - thin - fleksible to form and fasten/tie the heads from the petals as well as to form and tie the leaves to the stalk - pieces of about 20 cm,  - and thicker wire, not so fleksible, pieces of about 40 cm for the stalks. You can buy the wire in your local flower shop. Follow the video to make the petals and then form a head of the rose of about 12-13 petals. When the head is ready insert the thicker wire into it from tke top then drag it down so that it's not visible so that to form the stalk, but remember it has to be inside the head - to make the flower stable. When it's done tie the stalk firmly with the head at the bottom of it with the thinner wire you used to tie the head. Then you can make the leaves following the video instruction adjust them to the stalk. When it's done, use a strip of the green crepe paper to wrap the whole stalk, use some glue to finish the wrapping.
