Colourful activities

  • Polish language classes

The topic of the use of colours is very important in learning visual arts. But is it also important in studying other artistic subjects, as literature? The workshops held in Warsaw school for the 1st grade of the gimnasium students were ment to find out.

First of all students composed a sentence (absurd one as a condition). It read: "Johnny wasn't sure anymore when he entered the tunnel filled with light".

Then (using their hands) they tried to paint an abstract painting as an aswer to the sentence. At the end they discussed the emotions and meaning hidden under colours and shapes on the paintings.

LESSON ABOUT OUR FAVOURITE COLOURS IN OUR COLOURFUL LIBRARY IN WARSAW

After winter holidays our primary school library has become colourful. All seats and tables were made by class 4 students. We have been working on it since Autumn 2015. Now we love our library even more :)

Have you ever wondered what the world would be like without colours? And if WE could be colours? Our favourite colours?
This is what our primary school pupils (and teachers!) think about it. Enjoy! :)
