The song I picked up for discuss about the problems racism concerns is called "Io non sono razzista, ma..."  (I'm not racist, but...) by Willie Peyote, an italian artist.

Here's the lyrics translated into English:

I like to drive on rainy days

    When as if by magic

The wiper runs in time with the piece

Do you want to go away? Yup

Do you want to go anywhere

    Millions of kilometers, myriads

Of places like this, come on, trust me

There is a Chinese proverb that says "take good care"

Employee of the month smiles at the boss in chains

    The immigrant struggling with reception

Stop at our borders, maybe shooting is better

    Small and medium-sized enterprises

Make way for your broad understandings

    Budget income and expenses

All with too many claims like at the end of the month

    Don't worry it's not a race

You freak out if you count the expectations

Like that Sinhalese with roses under the snow

I see you at ease like a cop in plain clothes

You have a crap job and your boss is Chinese

Or you have a crap job and your boss is Italian

But by now we know it is clear, the whole world is a country

Talk about fairness, there was half of it

We will already be on the run on the open sea for a while, eh

You would have been close to arrest for some time, huh

    (Refrain x4)

Who says "I'm not a racist but"

He's a racist but he doesn't know it

    According to someone's speeches

    Lampedusa is a tourist village

     The Chinese are colonizing us

And every Imam is organizing a terrorist attack

    According to someone's speeches

    Immigrants all come to Italy

There is no future here with us

Look at the graduates who emigrated to Australia

It's too easy to say "these steal our jobs

They must stay at home "

What then if you look in the streets of my city

There are only kebab shops and I buy gold

But think that if someone who does not know the language

    And he has no knowledge

He can fool your job with this ease

You would need an examination of conscience

Let's talk about welcome, about integration

Immigration is the first emergency on television

    That's not all this news

Think of your grandfather who arrived in Argentina with the boat

Instead we don't make mosques here cause

    They don't make churches

"Italy to the Italians" I heard at the bar

And if I'm not mistaken, the bar was Chinese

    (refrain x4)

The song talks about the phrases that are most often said by Italians when it comes to racism. They are sentences full of ignorance and prejudice but at the same time they are repeated every day. The song negatively criticizes these phrases and condemns them in a way that makes them senseless, as they are without foundation.

I choose this song because of it's very strong message. That there is no difference between human and human. "Mensch ist Mensch" (Moe Phoenix)

Here are the lyrics in englisch:

Tell me a difference between you and me

Who are the guilty ones? Is it you or us?

Everybody wants to be powerful but not human

    Those who join hands

    They have nothing to lose

    Never oppress the weaker

    Because that is crime

For karma returns to the one who sends it

    To the world that turns

    You reap what you sow

    And I hope you understand

A human being is a human being

No matter what colour hair or skin

Think well of what you say

For the Creator makes no exception

    Human is human

Love is something we can use

You don't have to have anger in your belly

No one is right when it degenerates

    Human is human

Don't see no difference between you and me

Cause your prejudices don't interest me

Everyone who cries tears has a resemblance

And in the hard times you'll get it too

    Never suppress a little child

    Because they are the future

    Hate makes us blind

    But love makes us see

    Rebel, tolerate

    Together on the way

    And I hope you understand

A human being is a human being

No matter what colour hair or skin

Think carefully about what you say

For the Creator makes no exception

    Human is human

Love is something we can use

You don't have to have anger in your belly

No one is right when it degenerates

No matter if black or white, human is human

Whether rich or poor, a human being is a human being

No matter if hard or soft, human is human

    Human is human

    Human is human

Love is something useful for us

You don't have to have anger in your belly

No one is right when it degenerates

A human being is a human being

No matter what colour hair or skin

Think twice about what you say

For the Creator makes no exception

    Human is human

The song tells us about how racism works and that we can use love and respect to prevent the world being a racist one. With influences of his religion Moe Phoenix presents the simple human rights with this song. Some significant quotes are "no matter what colour hair or skin", "no matter if black or white", "whether rich or poor" and many more.

The Video on YouTube also draws attention to blood cancer and bone marrow donation at DKMS (https://www.dkms.de/de)

The song I've chosen to discuss about racism is "Vengo dalla luna" (I come from the moon) by Caparezza, an Italian artist

    Here's the English lyrics:

I come from the moon that sky crosses you

    And I find inopportune

The fear of a different culture

Someone pours out on me his perverse craziness

And when he sees me, he steers away

He wants to run me over

And is proud of his Saint attacked on the dashboard

    He didn’t understand I’m willing

To stay under, only when I’m fucking

“Go back to your country, you’re different!”

It’s impossible, I come from the universe

I lost the route, what do you want me to say to you?

You’re born here because here a pussy gave birth to you

“In what would you be better than me? Here there isn’t a business you deserve”

You’re bordered, but in your mental status

I’m moody and I stay wherever the fuck I want

I’m not black, I’m not white

I’m not active, I’m not tired

    I don’t come from a nation

I, yes, I come from the moon

I’m not healthy, I’m not crazy

I’m not true, I’m not false

I don’t take you misfortune nor fortune

I, yes, I take you to the moon

I come from the moon (x3)

    I come, come

You’re angry with me because I steal your job, I steal your car

Or because I fuck your girlfriend under the moon

What do you think it is then? It’s not my fault

If your girl’s surname is “Pompilio” like Numa

You say I’m ugly and I stink like a rat

But you’re marginalized and above all you aren’t Paul Newman

Your fiction doesn’t matter to me

I pee on your show that goes smoothly like Truman’s one

I have nostalgy of my light moon

I remember, one evening, the stars of a flag

But that was hope, that was a border

That was the spring of a new era

“Stupid one, we fill you with trinkets right away

In exchange for your status of free subject”

    No, it’s an inappropriate proposal

Keep the Earth, man, I want the moon

I’m not black, I’m not white

I’m not active, I’m not tired

    I don’t come from a nation

I, yes, I come from the moon

I’m not healthy, I’m not crazy

I’m not true, I’m not false

I don’t take you misfortune nor fortune

I, yes, I take you to the moon

I come from the moon (x3)

    I come, come

Being here wasn’t easy to me

(I’m an) Unexpected guest, undesired weight

The satellites (were) accomplices because they

    Reflect an artificial welfare

Moon, under which (you’ve) to talk about love

Get angry in your house in front of your TV

In your mentality the truth is

Fiction is better than real life

    Which is instead unpredictable

And not the result of something already written

In a book that you’ve already read all

    But I, I, I no

    I, I, I

I come from the moon (x3)

    I come, come

I chose this song because Caparezza talks about the fear of the different, defining it a perverse craziness, and he says a phrase widely used by racists: "Go back to your country, you're different!". Then, saying "You're angry with me because I steal your job, I steal your car", he highlights a prejudice that is still too widespread: considering every stranger a thief.

I think it's a shame that, nowadays, there are people who discriminate other people only for their skin's color or for the nation they come from; racism is a serious issue of our society, and it's our duty to eradicate these prejudices from people's minds.

    Black little angels (Antonio Machín)

    Here's the English lyrics:

    Painter, born in my country

    with the foreign paint brush,

    painter, following the direction

    of so many old painters.

Although the Virgin may be white

paint black little angels for me,

cause they go to heaven too

all the good little black angels.

Painter, if you paint whith love,

why do you despise your colour,

when you know, that in heaven

    God wants them too.

Painter of saints of the bedroom,

if you have got a soul in the body,

why have you in painting your paintings

    forgotten black people.

    Everytime, when you paint churches,

    you paint beautiful angels,

    but never you remembered

    to paint a black angel.

    Everytime, when you paint churches,

    you paint beautiful angels,

    but never you remembered

    to paint a black angel.

The composer of this song is the cuban Antonio Machín. That song came to Spain in 1950 approximately, after the Spanish Civil War. It was a hit at the time. In this song, Antonio questions to himself why there aren't black angels on the churches´pictures. Nowadays, is not very known between the young people, but this song could be the first spanish song against racism.

The song we have chosen is MESTIZAJE (MIXING) from SKA-P.

    Here's the English lyrics:

    Black African, East Asian,

    American Indian, African Muslim,

    White European, Australian aboriginal.

    Five continents one heart.

    Multiracial, multicultural, multiracial, multicultural

From the Philippines to Central America,

From the North Pole to Madagascar,

This f*cking world belongs to nobody but is everybody’s.

    Five continents one heart.

    Multiracial, multicultural, multiracial, multicultural

No frontiers, no flags, no authority,

No wealth, no poverty, no inequality,

Let the utopia break loose, let’s stop dreaming.

Hurray for miscegenation, let’s live together as a collectivity

I will shout let the flags burn in the name of brotherhood

Let patriotism fall and so the racial hostility.

    Popular culture.

    Ay, ay, ay

Where’s justice, crucified on the altars of capitalism

    Ay, ay, ay

    Where’s justice

Neither your residency, nor your creed, nor your color.

    No difference makes you superior.

    Stupid racist, humanity’s deserter

    Five continents one heart

    Multiracial, multicultural, multiracial, multicultural

No frontiers, no flags, no authority

No wealth, no poverty, no inequality

Let the utopia break loose, let’s stop dreaming

Hurray for miscegenation, let’s live together as a collectivity

I will shout let the flags burn in the name of brotherhood

Let patriotism fall and so the racial hostility

    Popular culture

    Ay, ay, ay

Where’s justice, crucified on the altars of capitalism

    Ay, ay, ay

    Where’s justice

We chose this song because we agree with the lyrics. The conclusion we've drawn is that the Spaniards, no matter how much we're Spanish, we don't all think the same way. for example, we believe that foreigners who come to live or visit Spain will have more cultures and we can learn from each other.

Rap contra el racismo -  Against-racism Rap.

    Here's the English lyrics:

The rush of being here all united, is lost a bit when you think about the reason, all different with their roll and with their style, but it is hip-hop and you have to make it very clear.

Have you ever stopped to talk to yourself? Life can be a different color if you talk about racism I am not here to give a speech on human rights nor do I come to tell you one of Romans, it is lucidity in the face of the stupidity that exists I wonder where the good joke to the seller begins and ends ambulante who is another worker with family and future ahead.

Each one is unique of their species, there is no reason or reason to despise it, it is fear and equality and to ignore what is different because, an absurd permanent social class separates us, maximum hatred for the least reason, there is no color, there is no comparison, only another episode where the most intolerant is fasism not cured by reading and racism traveling either.

No matter how many songs we do, no matter how much we manifest for many victims who suffer, do not fall along the ground, we do not become aware and so it goes and in article number one written we are born free equal in right and dignity. Let's see. Why is it difficult to carry it out of the role?

Tall-ugly-handsome-black-white What difference does it make? 100 years from now all bald under the ground. Will you?

Have you never tried to know a stranger?

Look at the children, they know what this game is about, and that is that the human race is a melting pot

Whoever cannot see the beauty in this does not deserve to see the sun pass the baton to the partner, for this new world the triumph of love against fear.

When the racist beast feels rage and bites when the phobia spreads and boils accusing you of not being the same, when the global world looking for food in another land makes you illegal, when the foreign law catches you for no reason and hypocrisy covers its eyes and their ears, racism and marginalization when they only see the skin and forget to look at the heart.

Nobody asks you to save the world of its color, we all lost faith in a better future, this life is cruel and so wicked that I understand it sometimes being honest is like pissing against the wind but don't look at the color of my skin if it really is what You want to know the color of my bills, earthquakes, hurricanes, war, hunger, racism is in man's pockets.

    Breathe fully this breeze.

Put yourself in the shoes of the other to see how long your smile lasts

Show respect for the unequal by sex, ideology or culture

So that affection and sensitivity surround the structure

Because with intolerance you show deficit in brain and heart

Today I share my voice and my love against unreason and pain

And the lack of intelligence and communication.

You are not racist, man you are an idiot

Because of ignorant parents you are docile

Countries have not existed for many years

The border is in the skin of each one

And all of our grandchildren will be gray

How do you want me to remember you as the one who said that

She hates blacks but she hid in case they bite

Coward without attitude, if one day you face your demons

You will see that they are white like you.

Because the hell you look at him with that face

If then you are the first to buy pirated DVDs from him

Not even for the friendship of the races, difficult in this fucking world

    Intolerant of rats

No human being can be illegal

The illegal thing is that a human being does not have dignity

I support the black, the Chinese, the Arab even the Martian

For my part, welcome to my Roman land.

    Surpassing thirty years of age

    I wrote the children's

This one goes for the pope

Who throws insults on a Sunday at the bar

When the black he idolizes can't score

The game is lost when entering

The side effect is that your child is a social problem

The future is that your daughter demands money for the movies

And he leaves with the son of the one who sold you clinex.

    Fuzzy reality doing chores

Did you see who I am? tell me who you are

Charging in papers denying the pleasures

Of men and women, heroes of such a challenge

To fight for such a challenge, to fight for his own love

So that your children do not grow up empty

    New generation with principles

Giving a good education without prejudice.

When the pain takes over the chest

A heart holds what they throw at it

    But depending on the facts

Licho for something better, for rights

And the words are carried away by the wind

These? no, between oceans there is a reason

That draws tears when saying bros

I only look at the person

Or you judge yourself before judging anyone else.

No, it is not the skin tone that matters

It is the tone with which you express yourself, racists complain

The foreigner takes away hours in the company

More hours he takes away the console and is Japanese

Pay attention to fight for freedom

It's more than just hating the oppressor

I ask for your understanding because the bread is broken with the hands

But it is shared with the heart.

On the one hand I am sorry that this is necessary

On the other, I am glad to hear from my colleagues

I can't think of a stupider or more logical or more ominous or more serious message

The problem comes when they don't see the problem

And the problem remains when they deny it

I guess there was no need to say it

It is clear to them, right? rap is against racism.

    Message of the song:

The song is a critique of society, that we despise people of different races to our own, almost in a somewhat systematic way without stopping to think that in the end not only does the color differentiate us, but that even if we are of the same race we are all different. We are all unique but equal, color does not have to become an element to differentiate social classes.

Whereas, there are demonstrations or they fall along the ground. However, society is made aware that there are victims we still do not respect the first of human rights.

We are all going to end up the same (dead), but we still decide to judge without having spoken to the foreigners, we have to be like the children who do not care about their appearance but the interior.

Immigration policies make people who come looking for food "illegal" and we do nothing.

In the money, we have there is racism because we cause wars, hunger, etc., in countries to have more wealth without caring about the consequences that only affect them.

We care about superficial things and never put ourselves in the place of those people.Education also influences the promotion of racism, countries have long been eliminated but we have established "borders" on the colour of the skin. We don’t realize that the causes of racism are white people and that on the one hand we despise people of other races but when we are interested that doesn’t matter anymore.

We are the generation that has to change this by identifying and correcting the racism of past generations and by showing that color does not matter and by raising a new generation without principles.

In conclusion, we continue to complain about immigrants saying things like that they take our jobs when it is not true, that is why we must continue to fight racism not only with actions but also with a focus on the heart, because even if we start it, the cluster is present in the world.

Why have we chosen the song?:

We decided to choose this song because it seems to us that it transmits perfectly the message that we had to look for and that also treats it in a very clear way. And of all the options of different songs that we had this one has seemed the most accurate.

We also commented with the Italians, who are part of our group, because we wanted an external opinion and agreed with us that this was the most striking song and easiest to understand.

    DANTE - inEQUALITY. (DesIGUALDAD).

    Lyrics:

The questions I ask myself the most are the ones I understand the least.

My blood boils watching what I'm seeing

Lying people who are contradicting themselves

Being what they say they are without living it

And the one who, at times, feels cold is not the one who always shivers

The one who cries with his face covered is not a coward

The one who gives hugs is the one who needs them most

And the one who, sometimes, does not show up, is not always late

The one who is silent, sometimes, can't stand it and screams

The one who has been the hungriest is often the one who shares the most

The first one you helped is the first one who go away

And the one you label as old is the one who can teach you the most

No one is more than the beggars because they have no roof over their head

You think you're humble, but you brag about kindness

The one you insult because he's black, has the same rights as you

He's not sick because he's black, racism is the disease.

Tell me, what difference does it make if they have another colour on their skin?

    If we're all the same

There's no distinction between sex, colour or class.

Blood is always red, no matter what the packaging is

Tell me if you care about the weight you're dragging under your feet

Not knowing how much you're worth

There's no difference, so get the message

Equality is the word that makes the planet fit together

The one who never says anything is the first to say that's enough /enough is enough

The class outcast is the one who, if he wants to, will crush you

The one who's treated like a nerd will double you all in caste

And the one who is the most cocky is the one who is the most mistreated

The one they call a whore, she's never made love in her life

She's just waiting for that man who loves her

But, of course, if it's a guy, he's a wild beast

    If it's a girl, she's a slut, isn't she?

Fuck you and fuck you and fuck prejudice

Fuck the models that make you lose your mind

Screw the blokes who tempt you with muscles

Fuck the size ninety, sixty, ninety, fuck!

    And fuck your fucking labels

That make people doubt whether or not they're complete

In the centre of the Earth, I want to raise a bust

Everyone is as they are and we should live in comfort

Tell me, what difference does it make if they have another colour on their skin?

If we are all the same

There's no distinction between sex, colour or class

Blood is always red, no matter what the packaging is

Tell me if you care about the weight you're dragging under your feet

Not knowing how much you're worth

There's no difference, so get the message

Equality is the word that makes the planet fit together

    Comment:

We have chosen this song because we enjoyed it very much as it is a short song and it summarizes very well the message he wants to send to the world. In addition, as you can hear or read, the song not only talks about racism but also comments on other inequalities.

Black or White - Michael Jackson

    Lyrics:

I took my baby on a Saturday bang

Boy is that girl with you?

Yes we're one and the same

    Now I believe in miracles

And a miracle has happened tonight

But, if you're thinkin' about my baby

It don't matter if you're black or white

They print my message in the Saturday Sun

I had to tell them I ain't second to none

And I told about equality and it's true

Either you're wrong or you're right

But, if you're thinkin' about my baby

It don't matter if you're black or white

I am tired of this devil

I am tired of this stuff

I am tired of this business

Sew when the going gets rough

I ain't scared of your brother

I ain't scared of no sheets

    I ain't scared of nobody

Girl, when the going gets mean

    Protection

    For gangs, clubs, and nations

    Causing grief in human relations

It's a turf war on a global scale

I'd rather hear both sides of the tale

    See, it's not about races

    Just places, faces

    Where your blood comes from

    Is were your space is

I've seen the bright get duller

I'm not going to spend my life being a color

Don't tell me you agree with me

When I saw you kicking dirt in my eye

But, if you're thinkin' about my baby

It don't matter if you're black or white

I said if you're thinkin' of being my baby

It don't matter if you're black or white

I said if you're thinkin' of being my brother

It don't matter if you're black or white

    Ooh, ooh

    Yea, yea, yea now

    Ooh, ooh

    Yea, yea, yea now

    It's black, it's white

It's tough for you to get by (yeah, yeah, yeah)

    It's black, it's white

    It's black, it's white

It's tough for you to get by (yeah, yeah, yeah)

    It's black, it's white

We chose this song for two reasons: the lyrics and their meaning, the mood. This is, in our opinion, the best song to show what the idea of racism is like. Michael Jackson has been fighting for all his life to show people that there are no differences between us humans. The song could be easily danced and listened without  a particular commitment but at the same time tells things that, in our opinion, are the base of the fight against racism like “it don’t matter if you’re black or white”. The last part of the song is way more politically engaged than the first but that doesn’t ruins the song at all. It becomes better. The outro underlines a sad truth: lots of people can’t pass by our differences. We’ll have to fight to make this possible because there are no races, just the Human race and we all are the same. Also today, racism is a very actual theme: we have to fight it every day because that’s our reality and we can’t think that racism episodes don’t happen today. Racism is still alive in our society and we have to win this war!

    David Bisbal - Duele demasiado

It hurts too much, it hurts too much

That in childhood, detained in that sea of bare feet

    While everyone washes their hands

And it hurts too much, it hurts too much

Look at the other side, look at the other side

You don't like to realize how many swim in the mud

    Those eyes are watching you

It's easier to forget them, easy to forget them

Because of the fault of others they pay dearly

A contract they have never signed

For you, because you never get to the shore

For me, because today my heart burns

If the world is still wrong

    I can't take this scream

Quiet for you, for me, for those who do not even know

    It hurts too much

    It hurts too much

A good life, a good life

A house, a plate of food,

    A sky without borders

And the love that so passionately denies them

The more they despair, the more they despair

Because of the fault of others they pay dearly

A contract they have never signed

For you, because you never get to the shore

For me, because today my heart burns

If the world is still wrong

    I can't take this scream

Quiet for you, for me, for those who do not even know

If it hurts like me, hug it

If it hurts like me, hug it

For you, because you never get to the shore

For me, because today my heart burns

If the world is still wrong

    I can't take this scream

Quiet for you, for me, for those who do not even know

    It hurts too much

    It hurts too much

    It hurts too much

    It hurts too much

This song talks about how much the situation in which some find themselves hurts because of the fault of others and the bad situations that they have to be going through every day and that no one takes pride in them and this song reflects the situation very well what are they going through

"WHERE IS THE LOVE?" by The Black Eyed Peas

    Lyrics:

What's wrong with the world, mama
People livin' like they ain't got no mamas
I think the whole world's addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that'll bring you trauma
Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin'
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you're bound to get irate, yeah
    Madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y'all, y'all
    People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach?
Or would you turn the other cheek?
    Father, Father, Father help us
    Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
    Where is the love (Love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love, the love, the love
It just ain't the same, all ways are changed
New days are strange, is the world insane?
If love and peace is so strong
Why are there pieces of love that don't belong
    Nations droppin' bombs
Chemical gasses fillin' lungs of little ones
With the ongoin' sufferin' as the youth die young
So ask yourself is the lovin' really gone
So I can ask myself really what is goin' wrong
In this world that we livin' in people keep on givin' in
Makin' wrong decisions, only visions of them dividends
Not respectin' each other, deny thy brother
A war is goin' on but the reason's undercover
The truth is kept secret, it's swept under the rug
If you never know truth then you never know love
    Where's the love, y'all, come on (I don't know)
    Where's the truth, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the love, y'all(come on yeah)
    People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
Or would you turn the other cheek
    Father, Father, Father help us
Send us some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
    Where is the love (Love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love, the love, the love
I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I'm gettin' older, y'all, people gets colder
Most of us only care about money makin'
Selfishness got us followin' the wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images, is the main criteria
Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what they see in the cinemas
Yo', whatever happened to the values of humanity
Whatever happened to the fairness and equality
Instead in spreading love we're spreading animosity
Lack of understanding, leading us away from unity
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' down
There's no wonder why sometimes I'm feelin' under
Gotta keep my faith alive till love is found (now ask yourself)
    Where is the love
    Where is the love
    Where is the love
    Where is the love
    Father, Father, Father help us
    Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
    Where is the love
    Sing with my ya'll
    (One world, one world)
    We only got
    (One world, one world)
    That's all we got
    (One world, one world)
    And somethin's wrong wit it
    (Yeah)
    Somethin's wrong wit it
    (Yeah)
Somethin's wrong with the w-w-world yeah
    We only got
    (One world, one world)
    That's all we got
    (One world, one world)

    Comment:

This song is a hymn of peace, while touching important issues regarding society, the lyrics designate the world that we live in, and the more is described as miserable, the more it is inherent to the reality. The line that particularly caught our attention is “Not respecting each other, deny thy brother, a war is going on but the reason’s undercover...”

The song is a critique of all humans who let hatred, bitterness and fear rule. The song says, if you only have love for your race, then you only leave room to discriminate; and from this it shows the desire to know where love is, because with so much war and hatred in the world, which is only one, you cannot be with the people who allow it. And if love is with humans because they let the world be so painful and discriminatory.

What makes me think mainly, at the beginning of the song, is that we only care about what’s going on around us, our neighbors, seeing people of other races as intruders who take away our own, when we are all truly human and other people also suffer as we do. Basically, the most developed countries forget about all those people who live in less developed countries, and we think that we deserve to live better.

This song tries to influence people to reflect and think about the society we live and to realize what we have around us. It shows that everything is in our hands and leads us to question whether we are able to put into practice everything we want or would like to change, because doing things right is our responsibility. And doing what we really need to do is what gives values to humanity, and that could create a better world, where we don’t have to ask ourselves, where is love?

The most striking phrases are: “I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder”; “As I'm gettin' older, y'all, people gets colder”; “Kids wanna act like what they see in the cinemas”; “Why are there pieces of love that don't belong”; “But if you only have love for your own race, then you only leave space to discriminate”.

Everyone thinks this song is about the war in iraq but is a small part of the true meaning of this song. This song talks about how kids are getting involved in gangs and caught up in a whole lot of crap that should be avoided. We are worrying about problems that are occurring in other countries rather than fixing our situation. we need to fix our situation. We cant be going to war as it says in the song "if you practice what you preach then you turn the other cheek" this is not only referring to war but also minor issues that take place here like racism or anything at all. This song is basically calling out all of the hatred and all of the un-needed crap that takes place in todays society.

RAP CONTRA EL RACISMO = RAP AGAINST THE RACISM (other group).

    LYRICS

Look at the children, they know what this game is about, and that is that the human race is a melting pot Whoever cannot see the beauty in this does not deserve to see the sun pass the baton to the partner, for this new world the triumph of love against fear.

Nobody asks you to save the world of its color, we all lost faith in a better future, this life is cruel and so wicked that I understand it sometimes being honest is like pissing against the wind but do´t look at the color of my skin if it really is what You want to know the color of my bills, earthquakes, hurricanes, war, hunger, racism is in man´s pockets.

    I wrote the children´s

This one goes for the pope

Who throws insults on a Sunday at the bar

When the black he idolizes can´t score

The game is lost when entering

The side effect is that your child is a social problem

The future is that your daughter demands money for the movies

And he leaves with the son of the one who sold you clinex.

    Fuzzy reality doing chores

Did you see who I am? tell me who you are

Charging in papers denying the pleasures

Of men and women, heroes of such a challenge

To fight for such a challenge, to fight for his own love

So that your children do not grow up empty

    New generation with principles

Giving a good education without prejudice.

When the pain takes over the chest

A heart holds what they throw at it

    But depending on the facts

Licho for something better, for rights

And the words are carried away by the wind

These? no, between oceans there is a reason

That draws tears when saying bros

I only look at the person

Or you judge yourself before judging anyone else.

No, it is not the skin tone that matters

It is the tone with which you express yourself, racists complain

The foreigner takes away hours in the company

More hours he takes away the console and is Japanese

Pay attention to fight for freedom

It's more than just hating the oppressor

I ask for your understanding because the bread is broken with the hands

But it is shared with the heart.

On the one hand I am sorry that this is necessary

On the other, I am glad to hear from my colleagues

I can´t think of a stupider or more logical or more ominous or more serious message

The problem comes when they don't see the problem

And the problem remains when they deny it

I guess there was no need to say it

It is clear to them, right? rap is against racism.

    OUR PERSONAL OPINION:

We have chosen this song as it talks about racism in a really interesting way.

Firstly, it should be emphasized that several famous Spanish singers have got together in order to report the actual racism situation in our society. Nowadays, we are not concerned enough about the large amount of racism comments that are constantly happening.

Therefore, this song shows us that we sometimes depreciate people unconsciously due to their skin colour or their native country. It also makes us realize that we all have the same rights and nobody is fewer because of their nationality.

    For example:

“Tall-ugly-handsome-black-white What difference does it make?
100 years from now all bald under the ground.”

This is a really interesting sentence where we can see how the songwriters are trying to explain to us that it doesn’t matter how we look, or what color we are, that we are all going to die and finish in the same way. We mustn’t set our mind and our sight only at this, as our origin or our skin colour doesn’t determine what type of person we are. So, as the song is telling us, we need to normalize and don’t judge a person only because of their roots and their physical appearance.

“Countries have not existed for many years.
The border is in the skin of each one”

Humans have developed during our history thanks to helping each other, in that way, my impression is that we are a big family that must collaborate in order to overcome the hardships along the way. We must treat others like our brothers since sharing our

possessions and respecting human rights is part of humanity. If we were running away from our country due to a war, I would like to be welcome in any country, in that way, we want to give a good image of the developed countries and stop enslaving immigrants as if they were not persons, since the only difference between them and us is that we have a much easier life randomly. Furthermore, we are the cause of their horrible situation.

“Put yourself in the shoes of the other to see how long your smile lasts”

For instance, this tense shows us the reality. Nowadays, we are not empathetic enough to know how horrible some people are living in another part of the world. However, if any of us were in their situation, we would see life in a different way and we wouldn't be as insensitive as we sometimes are. Therefore, we should think for a while how people can feel before we have a racist action.

“The problem comes when they don´t see the problem,
and the problem remains when they deny it.”

This sentence wants to explain that sometimes people don’t realize that some comments they say or things they do are racist. They consider that their behavior is correct, and this is the main problem, since they think they are acting in a good way. But the worst thing is that when you tell somebody that he’s being racist, that person denies it and continues doing the same.

In conclusion, this song has touched our heart, since it has made us put ourselves in immigrants´ situations, and think about our racist actions that we consciously do not realize. Furthermore, racism creates selfish and despicable people, therefore, we must act with the head without letting ourselves be carried away by the prejudices of the society.

    Popular culture

    Ay, ay, ay

Where’s justice, crucified on the altars of capitalism

    Ay, ay, ay

    Where’s justice

    SONG INTERPRETATION:

The song is quite straightforward in its message:

    Black African, East Asian,

    American Indian, African Muslim

    White European, Australian Aboriginal,

    Five continents in one heart

There is nothing to note here except the end where the author intends to tell us how all the humans mentioned, regardless of how they are, are humans, with a heart (crystallized this in the last paragraph as a message), like everyone else.

    Multiracial, multicultural,

    Multiracial, multicultural

From the Philippines to Central America,

From the North Pole to Madagascar

This fucking world belongs to nobody and belongs to everyone,

Five continents in the same heart

When he says “this fucking world belongs to nobody and belongs to all ” he is referring to how, in modern society, human beings have created borders to separate people from each other through, for example, countries, countries that are really nothing more than a symbol with no more value than what we decide to give it. The question that arises with this is if we can truly call people "illegal" or prevent them from freedom of movement simply because they were born in a different place, that is what the author would be trying to tell us in this paragraph.

    Multiracial, multicultural,

    Multiracial, multicultural

No borders, no flags, no authority

No wealth, no poverty, no inequality

    Let's break utopia, stop dreaming,

Up with miscegenation, living together in a community

Here we touch on the issue of borders and countries and how today, we are treating the people of our own country, as better (with luxuries and excusing the exploitation of others for example) when something such as where you are born and who your parents are is not something that you decide nor is it something for which a person should be valued.

With the last two lines he tells us that a utopia is possible, it could be (imagines the author) a place where we all live together, a place where we are all capable of accepting others irrelevant what your bloodline or family is but rather what your personality is like. your ability to live together and what are your actions in life, the author thus imagines that he breaks the limits of our society and reaches what, for him, would be the "perfect" society.

Shout Let the flags burn for the fraternity

Let the patriotism and racial hostility fall

    Popular culture

The song emphasizes whether a country or the flags that represent it are truly important. If a piece of painted cloth (represented as the flag in the song) really has value and, if it does, is that objective value or do you assign it to them?

Of course, one is free to love the values that represent your country, culture, home, family and the place where you were born and grew up, but wanting all that but that does not mean that we should close ourselves to other cultures, ideas or people, the coexistence among us is possible, wouldn't a world be better where everyone is interconnected?

Ay, ay, ay, justice where is it, crucified on the altars of the capital

Ay, ay, ay, justice where is

This part of the song talks about injustice and how we can defend it since, with this, we are conveyed that the basis for that utopia that the author seeks is justice, that we are all treated the same, something that according to the song we do not do, showing his dissatisfaction when he says "crucified on the altars of capital" referring to how justice almost always overlooked due to financial benefits.

Neither your residence, nor the creed, nor the color,

No difference I will make you superior

Stupid racist, desertion of the human being,

Five continents in the same heart

Here he repeats what he has said in other ways in addition to reaffirming and reinforcing his idea , with, for example, the first line of the paragraph, which tells us how your place of origin or your skin color does not make you inferior or superior to any other person and how, although, we do not realize it (with the second line), many times we do not discriminate by race or color but by ideology or origin, for example.

[here repeats the chorus again until the end]

FINAL COMMENT (BEST OF EACH COMMENT):

The song itself shows us the problem that currently exists with racism, touching on issues such as inequality in society and the stereotypes that we have according to the skin color of other people. It also refers to the different types of races that exist throughout the world and that are severely punished by other races, in addition, it also touches on issues such as the possibility of a better world without inequalities "above miscegenation, living together in a community", would be a good example of it.  It's why this song not only questions discrimination of any kind towards others but also, how this hatred is originated. A baby or a child is not born discriminating against others, for example, which makes us think that it may be generated by constructs typical of our society.

We have chosen this song because it seems to us the perfect example of what racism is, that is, it shows very well the problems that it entails, and, in turn, speaks of an idealized world in which there are no differences because of one country or another.  What the author does is mention the injustices that are caused because, supposedly, there are different people and they do not have the right to work or move to certain places due to their skin color, their country, race ... So we have to be given equal conditions to be able to live justly.

He also conveys his dissatisfaction with the existence of flags, for example, because after all, what this does is "feed" racist behavior. In the last section of the song, the division of our world into continents is highlighted, which makes us think that we are totally guilty of having pigeonholed all the people in the world, we have created a social differentiation from which it is very difficult to get out (thus returning to collaborate in this racism).

In addition, everything related to the homeland and patriotism, and how the concept of it must change not to one where the homeland is threatened by outsiders. But how do you do that? What we must do, and what the author wants to convey, is to defend the whole of society that we are, no matter where you are from. Likewise, we should all be part of a unit, a collective in which, if one part does not exist, the others will crumble automatically. We should live in a kind of "symbiosis", for which we have to respect each other.

Therefore, that hatred that arises fearing others, would be eliminated due to equality. No one is superior to anyone and we have to have the same opportunities to achieve our goals. For this reason, this song not only tries to raise awareness about “simple” racism but also gives us the reasons to detect and raise awareness among others.

Black or White - Michael Jackson

I took my baby on a Saturday bang

Boy is that girl with you?

Yes we're one and the same

    Now I believe in miracles

And a miracle has happened tonight

But, if you're thinkin' about my baby

It don't matter if you're black or white

They print my message in the Saturday Sun

I had to tell them I ain't second to none

And I told about equality and it's true

Either you're wrong or you're right

But, if you're thinkin' about my baby

It don't matter if you're black or white

I am tired of this devil

I am tired of this stuff

I am tired of this business

Sew when the going gets rough

I ain't scared of your brother

I ain't scared of no sheets

    I ain't scared of nobody

Girl, when the going gets mean

    Protection

    For gangs, clubs, and nations

    Causing grief in human relations

It's a turf war on a global scale

I'd rather hear both sides of the tale

    See, it's not about races

    Just places, faces

    Where your blood comes from

    Is were your space is

I've seen the bright get duller

I'm not going to spend my life being a color

Don't tell me you agree with me

When I saw you kicking dirt in my eye

But, if you're thinkin' about my baby

It don't matter if you're black or white

I said if you're thinkin' of being my baby

It don't matter if you're black or white

I said if you're thinkin' of being my brother

It don't matter if you're black or white

    Ooh, ooh

    Yea, yea, yea now

    Ooh, ooh

    Yea, yea, yea now

    It's black, it's white

It's tough for you to get by (yeah, yeah, yeah)

    It's black, it's white

    It's black, it's white

It's tough for you to get by (yeah, yeah, yeah)

    It's black, it's white.

Black or White is a song about racism and that it doesn't matter where you're from or what colour you are, because we are all people!

These lyrics describe Michael Jackson's opinion on racism and how they affected him and the world around him.

Michael Jackson in this song was talking about how people had always accused him of changing his colour, but in our opinion it doesn't matter, because in Jackson's eyes everyone was one and the same.

The first lyrics that caught our attention were "They printed my message, In the Saturday Sun, I had to tell them, I ain't second to none." Here he stated that he wasn't nobody, but that he was a person, with equalities. Further, Jackson wrote "I told about Equality , An It's True, Either You're Wrong or you're right ."

In these few lines Jackson was trying to say that everyone has their own opinion on what equality is. If someone has a different opinion on equality, each person is right.

Later in the song, Jackson stated "I am tired of this devil, I am tired of this stuff, I am tired of this business, So when the going gets rough, I ain't scared of your brother, I ain't Scared of No sheets, I ain't scare of nobody, Girl when the goin' gets mean." Here Jackson was stating that he was tired of the racism, which he described as a Devil .

Eventually he said that he was not scared of anyone when things got bad and wouldn't let racism affect him.

WE ARE THE WORLD - Michael Jackson

    There comes a time

When we heed a certain call

When the world must come together as one

    There are people dying

Oh, and it's time to lend a hand to life

    The greatest gift of all

    We can't go on

    Pretending day-by-day

That someone, somewhere soon make a change

We're all a part of God's great big family

And the truth, you know, love is all we need

    We are the world

    We are the children

We are the ones who make a brighter day, so let's start giving

    There's a choice we're making

    We're saving our own lives

It's true we'll make a better day, just you and me

    Oh, send them your heart

So they know that someone cares

And their lives will be stronger and free

As God has shown us by turning stones to bread

And so we all must lend a helping hand

    We are the world

    We are the children

We are the ones who make a brighter day, so let's start giving

    Oh, there's a choice we're making

    We're saving our own lives

It's true we'll make a better day, just you and me

When you're down and out, there seems no hope at all

But if you just believe there's no way we can fall

Well, well, well, well let us realize

Oh, that a change can only come

When we stand together as one, yeah, yeah, yeah

    We are the world

    We are the children

We are the ones who make a brighter day, so let's start giving

    There's a choice we're making

    We're saving our own lives

It's true we'll make a better day, just you and me

    We are the world

    We are the children

We are the ones who make a brighter day, so let's start giving

    There's a choice we're making

    We're saving our own lives

It's true we'll make a better day, just you and mee

We are the world (are the world)

We are the children (are the children)

We are the ones who'll make a brighter day, so let's start giving (so let's start giving)

There is a choice we're making

    We're saving our own lives

It's true we'll make a better day, just you and me

    Oh, let me hear you!

We are the world (we are the world)

We are the children (said we are the children)

We are the ones who'll make a brighter day so let start giving (so let's start giving)

    There's a choice we're making

    We're saving our own lives

It's true we'll make a better day, just you and me, come on now, let me hear you

We are the world (we are the world)

We are the children (we are the children)

We are the ones who'll make a brighter day so let's start giving (so let's start giving)

    There's a choice we're making

    We're saving our own lives

It's true we'll make a better day, just you and me, yeah

We are the world (we are the world)

We are the children (we are the children)

We are the ones who'll make a brighter day so let's start giving (so let's start giving)

    There's a choice we're making

And we're saving our own lives

It's true we'll make a better day, just you and me

We are the world (are the world)

We are the children (are the children)

We are the ones who'll make a brighter day so let's start giving (so let's start giving)

    There's a choice we're making

    We're saving our own lives

It's true we'll make a better day, just you and me

We are the world, we are the world (are the world)

We are the children, yes sir (are the children)

We are the ones that make a brighter day so let's start giving (so let's start giving)

    There's a choice we're making

    We're saving our own lives

It's true we'll make a better day, just you and me, ooh-hoo!

We are the world (dear God) (are the world)

We are the children (are the children)

We are the ones that make a brighter day so let's start giving (all right, can you hear what I'm saying?)

There's a choice we're making, we're saving our own lives.

This is a song that was born to do charity tank to the collaboration of 45 American singers including Michael Jackson, Bob Dylan and Tina Turner. The song is about solidarity, brotherhood and love. These are key ingredients to fight racism in the world. This song has a strong and powerful message and we should try to live by following these ideals to delete any kind of discrimination, especially racial discrimination, in fact the song begins with this sentence: “the world must come together as one”.   We need to invest ourselves into taking action and treat everyone correctly as we are meant to do.

    SUPERINFERIORS - Los de marras

    Lyrics in English:

When the prisons are full of freedom

And the tanks fire torpedoes loaded with life.

When the people who fight in wars kill each other with kisses

And "" border "" is a forbidden and cursed word.

When we make bonfires with money

And in the world there is not a child who dies of grief

When work is a right and not slavery

And the weapons, useless junk thrown in scrap yards

When the Church discovers that God was an atheistic worker

And the poor let’s get out of our hole

When women and men are equal

And in this shitty world there are no generals

    Then I will think

    That we are still human

    Because now I just feel

    That we are just beings

    Then I will think

    That we still have something

    How dare we

    To call us superior?

When being illiterate is a crime

    And the health World Heritage

When the free world gets rid of the free market

And the rich feel ashamed to go out on the street

When we win wars with nonviolence

And in the world there are no abuses of children

    When transsexuality is normal

And in the woman's body only she decides

When racism is considered a disease

And the earth a paradise that must not be saved

When the old are wise old men

And in this shitty world there are no soldiers

    Then I will think

    That we are still human

    Because now I just feel

    That we are just beings

    Then I will think

    That we still have something

    How dare we

    To call us superior?

Why we have chosen this song: We have decided to analyze this song because of many reasons:

    ● This song touches several problems that unfortunately are current nowadays such as transphobia, racism and environmentally issues.

    ● This song wants to show how we can’t be called human beings because we are horrible with each other and we always find a way to destroy everything. We have the chance to be called more than just beings and do things right but that depends on us.

    ● It also wants to show some problems in order to be aware of them and find a solution.

    INEQUALITY - Dante

    (another group)

    Lyrics in English:

The questions I ask myself the most are the ones I understand the least

My blood boils watching what I'm seeing

Lying people who are contradicting themselves

Being what they claim to be without living

And the one who sometimes feels cold is not the one who always shivers

He who cries with his face covered is not a coward

The one who gives hugs is the one who needs them the most

And the one who, sometimes, does not appear, will not always be late

The one who is quiet, sometimes, does not hold and screams

The one who has suffered the most hunger is usually the one who shares the most

The first one you helped is the first one to take off

And the one who you label as being old is the one who can teach you the most

Nobody is more than beggars because they have no roof

You think you are humble, but you show off kindness

The one you insult for being black, has the same rights

He's not sick for being black, racism is the disease

Tell me, what difference does it make that they have another color on their skin?

If we are all the same

There is no distinction between sex, color or class

Blood is always red, regardless of the packaging

Tell me if you care about the weight you drag under your feet

Without knowing how much you are worth

There are no differences, so get the message

Equality is the word that makes the planet fit

The one who never says anything is the first to say enough

The class outcast is the one who, if he wants to, crushes you

Whoever they treat as a nerd, he will double you all in caste

And the one who goes the most as a cock is the one who drags the most abuse

Who they call whore, she has not made love in his life

She is simply waiting for that man who loves her

But, of course, if it's a guy who hooks up with anyone, he's a beast

If she's a girl, she surely becomes a whore, right?

Come on and give it to you and give it to prejudices

Fuck the models that make you lose your mind

Fuck the hunks who tempt you with muscles

Fuck the size ninety, sixty, ninety, damn it!

    And give your fucking labels

That make people doubt whether or not they are complete

In the center of the Earth, I want to lift a bust

Each one is as it is and we must live at ease

Tell me, what difference does it make that they have another color on their skin?

If we are all the same

There is no distinction between sex, color or class

Blood is always red, regardless of the packaging

Tell me if you care about the weight you drag under your feet

Without knowing how much you are worth

There are no differences, so get the message

Equality is the word that makes the planet fit

Why we have chosen this song: We have decided to analyze this song because of many reasons:

    ● The numerous topics it treats about all the problems we have as a society such as racism, inequality, poverty, sexism.

    ● It medites about the injustice that we must eradicate if we want to live in harmony with each other.

    ● The rhythm of the song, it is a truly catchy song!

    ● Its incredible capacity of deppen in our current problems

    ● Its desire to change our bad and cruel behavior.

    “Black Man” - Stevie Wonder

    First man to die

For the flag we now hold high [Crispus Attucks]

    Was a black man

    The ground were we stand

With the flag held in our hand

    Was first the red man's

    Guide of a ship

On the first Columbus trip [Pedro Alonzo Nino]

    Was a brown man

    The railroads for trains

Came on tracking that was laid

    By the yellow man

    We pledge allegiance

    All our lives

    To the magic colors

    Red, blue and white

But we all must be given

    The liberty that we defend

For with justice not for all men

    History will repeat again

    It's time we learned

This World Was Made For All Men

    Heart surgery

    Was first done successfully

By a black man [Dr Daniel Hale Williams]

    Friendly man who died

But helped the pilgrims to survive [Squanto]

    Was a red man

    Farm workers rights

Were lifted to new heights [Caesar Chavez]

    By a brown man

    Incandescent light

Was invented to give sight [Thomas Edison]

    By the white man

    We pledge allegiance

    All our lives

    To the magic colors

    Red, blue and white

But we all must be given

    The liberty that we defend

For with justice not for all men

    History will repeat again

    It's time we learned

This World Was Made For All Men

    Hear me out

Now I know the birthday of a nation

Is a time when a country celebrates

But as your hand touches your heart

Remember we all played a part in America

    To help that banner wave

    First clock to be made

    In America was created

By a black man [Benjamin Banneker]

    Scout who used no chart

    Helped lead Lewis and Clark

    Was a red woman [Sacagawea]

    Use of martial arts

In our country got its start

    By a yellow man

And the leader with a pen

Signed his name to free all men

Was a white man [Abraham Lincoln]

    We pledge allegiance

    All our lives

    To the magic colors

    Red, blue and white

But we all must be given

    The liberty that we defend

For with justice not for all men

    History will repeat again

    It's time we learned

This World Was Made For All Men

This world was made for all men

This world was made for all men

This world was made for all men

God saved His world for all men

    All people

    All babies

    Comment:

“Black Man” by Stevie Wonder is one of the most important song about racism.

It talks about the desire to live in a world where everyone has the same importance despite the color of the skin and it wants to embrace the beauty of the diversity. He wants to live in a world where everyone can have the same value, feel accepted and respected for what they are and not what they look like.

    TELL ME WHY

    In my dream, children sing
A song of love for every boy and girl
The sky is blue and fields are green
And laughter is the language of the world
Then I wake and all I see
Is a world full of people in need

Tell me why(why) does it have to be like this?
Tell me why (why) is there something I have missed?
Tell me why (why) cos I don't understand
    When so many need somebody
We don't give a helping hand
    Tell me why?

    Everyday I ask myself
What will I have to do to be a man?
Do I have to stand and fight
To prove to everybody who I am?
Is that what my life is for
To waste in a world full of war?

The song talks about every child's dream of a beautiful world where peace prevails and wars disappear.

In this song, the main aim is to put an end to racism and to unite against racism for the whole world,it does not matter, religion, language, roce, color and we need to unite against those who make this discriminotion.

There is a way to end racism💜

    Let's be united against racism:))

Joan Baez - We Shall Overcome

    We shall overcome

    We shall overcome

    We shall overcome, some day

    Oh, deep in my heart

I know that I do believe

    We shall overcome, some day

    We shall be alright

    We shall be alright

We shall be alright, some day

    Oh, deep in my heart

I know that I do believe

    We shall overcome, some day

    We shall live in peace

    We shall live in peace

We shall live in peace, some day

    Oh, deep in my heart

I know that I do believe

    We shall overcome, some day

We are not afraid (oh Lord!)

    Not afraid (oh Lord!)

    Not afraid, today

    Oh, deep in my heart

I know that I do believe

    We shall overcome, some day

    We shall overcome (oh Lord!)

    (Oh Lord!) overcome

    We shall overcome, some day

    Oh, deep in my heart

I know that I do believe

    We shall overcome, some day

This song talks about how the singer has had to overcome many racist attacks, but he is still fighting against it and wants to finish with them. He said that it is very important to not be afraid and believe that one day the racism will end. However, he encourages the rest of the world to help him and the other people that are attacked by racism to be alright when there is one of these situations. And I think that is very important to help them because they don't deserve those mistreatments.

I choosed a german Song about humanity, „Astronaut“ by Mark Forster and Sido.
I like it, because I think sometimes we think way to positive about humans and a song like this can take us to reflect more about it.
The song shows that humans could live a peaceful, happy and sustainable life, but instead of that we destroy the earth, destroy ourselves and fight each others. I think the song is very interesting, because it presents the bad sides of humanity.

    The Lyrics of the song:

I lift off, nothing's keeping me down Everything pale and grey
I haven't flown in too long
    like an astronaut

We walk around having it up to here, heads are empty
Sit up to the neck in garbage, have holes in our heart Drowning worries and problems in the cup full of wine
With a smile of stone, we can't come up with anything better We've already forgotten tomorrow, who we were yesterday We've eaten ourselves full, never forget to pay

Leave everything standing and lay for more ash and dust
We all want it to work but we're not paying attention
The voice of reason has been silenced, we can't hear it anymore But we sometimes have the feeling that we don't belong here There is no forwards or back anymore, only below and above One from 100 million, a small speck on the ground
    I lift off

I lift off, nothing's keeping me down Everything pale and grey
I haven't flown in too long
    like an astronaut

I see the world from above The rest pales in grey
I lost time and space up here like an astronaut

In the dark of night, everything's so peaceful up here, but down there it's kicking off We all contribute, but break under the load
We hope for God, but missed the miracle,
We build ever-higher until it reaches infinity

Almost 8 billion people, but the humanity is missing From up here, suddenly none of it matters,
From up here you can't see borders or the color of skin Nothing dulls the racket, I can't hear you all anymore I'm slowly getting the feeling that I belong here

There is no forwards or back anymore, only below and above One from 100 million, a small speck on the ground
    I lift off!

I lift off, nothing's keeping me down Everything pale and grey
I haven't flown in too long
    like an astronaut

I see the world from above The rest pales in grey
I lost time and space up here like an astronaut
    Oho oho oho
    like an astronaut

And at the sight of this beauty, I remember everything again, Are we not actually alive to love and to be
I'd love to stay here forever, but I'm just the blink of an eye that's all I can be after 5 billion years

I lift off, nothing's keeping me down Everything pale and grey
I haven't flown in too long
    like an astronaut

I see the world from above The rest pales in grey
I lost time and space up here like an astronaut
    Oho oho oho
    like an astronauthttps://lyricstranslate.com
