Our virtual meetings

  • During the duration of our project, students from three groups actively participated in the workshops. Workshops were held regularly, every week. We used the Zoom platform to hold workshops due to its ease of use and the fact that students already know this platform. At the workshops, students and teachers first met and created their avatars to further present themselves. It then researched and learned about the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Students learned how to encode the robot Ozobot using graphic coding, the so-called Color Code, and later by block programming in the OzoBlockly application. All students unanimously agreed that they prefer graphic programming and decided to create their games creatively using this programming method. During the workshops, students were encouraged to work through positive supervision methods, and Growth Mindset was also encouraged. They learned and adopted using of powerfull word YET. After the students had conceived and designed their games to solve one of the self-selected SDGs, the students presented their games and then shared them with other students so that everyone could play all the games. Both ECCI-i and CSDS measurements were held during the video meeting. The results indicated the development of creativity and an increase in creative traits in all students.
