EVALUATION OF THE ERASMUS PLUS PROJECT

  • In order to control and assess the proper management of the project we set up three different Commissions and defined their tasks:

    1-Commission of the Project in each school: in charge of gathering information, solving problems and controlling the development of the project at school level. The members were volunteer teachers for the school.

    2-General Commission of the Project: in charge of designing the means of evaluation, gathering information, solving problems and controlling the development of the project within the association. The members were the coordinator and another member of each participant school.

    3-External Commission: in charge of evaluating each edition of the online newspaper. The members were relevant people in the field of education or journalism from each country. They were chosen by the Commission of each school to do the evaluation of each edition of the online newspaper NEWSBUBBLES in an objective and fair way. This way, members from Spain assessed the first edition (edited in Greece), from Slovakia the second edition (edited in Lithuania), from Lithuania the third edition (edited in Spain), and from Greece the fourth edition (edited in Slovakia).

    A systematic and regular collection of information was essential for the control of the project. We collected the information by using several indicators established by the General Commission like: number of activities, outcomes and participants / students, teachers, parents, local community and other organisations and institutions.

    The aspects of the project that were evaluated and controlled were:

    1- Evaluation of the development of the project: 1.1 Evaluation of the activities and results for the newspaper. 1.2 Evaluation of the time management (chronogram). 1.3 Budget control.

    2- Evaluation of the Learning/Teaching/Training Activities and the Transnational Project Meetings: 2.1 Evaluation of the visits to each country.

    3- Evaluation of the results of the project: ONLINE NEWSPAPER NEWSBUBBLES. 3.1 Online questionnaire of Newsbubbles editions. 3.2  Evaluation of the External Commission.

    4- Evaluation of the impact and the objectives of the project: 4.1 Evaluation of the communication skills (Portfolio). 4.2 Evaluation of the impact at the end of the project (online questionnaires). 4.3 Evaluation of the objectives before and after the project in each school.

    5- Evaluation of the success of the project. 5.1 Evaluation of the Dissemination plan. 5.2 “Stats” collecting information about the number of people reached.
