On June 14, in Koszyce Wielkie school, an inter-class debate took place. The title of the debate was: "Tradition or progress - what is more valuable for today's youth?" 

The debate was chaired by our History teacher. Debating teams consisted of 3 students: Igor, Natalia and Oliwier represented the side that was in favor of progress. , Wiktoria and Antonina defended the side of tradition.The observers were students from grades 7 and 8. In the debate, the students presented different ways of understanding the concept "tradition". Much of the debate was devoted to the importance of the past and its role tradition understood as its heritage. But tradition is sometimes rejected and treated as a restraining the progress, or as some kind of resource and point of reference.  Ultimately, the teams agreed that consolidating the value and distinctiveness of the regional culture in perspective of progressing globalization becomes a priority task.
