    My year began with an exciting trip to Padua, Italy by night train. Three German and two Norwegean students wanted to stay for two or six months and work on our Erasmus project. Then came the Corona Pandemic. We had to bring the students back from Venice on the last flight after only five weeks (after three flights had been cancelled). The rest of the year we have been working online only - instead of going to Italy and Turkey for project meetings. I had planned to visit a close friend in Guatemala for Christmas - but we had to postpone the meeting :(
    I REALLY MISS TRAVELLING.
    How did 2020 start and end for you ? What do you miss most?

    This is how 2020 started and how it ended. First I was happily meeting up with friends, especially with my best friend Mathilda. But then one day a massive virus decided to spread and I think we all know the name. Now i wouldn’t meet up anymore, as the cases are going further and further up. Also I miss seeing my relatives which I think we would have done without corona this year. Shout out to the guy who ate the bat😘

    My year started pretty good at New Year’s Eve, and I was so excited because I wanted to do a exchange to Italy soon, but the virus spread and I couldn’t go anymore. Throughout the lockdown I was pretty sad because I couldn’t do volley anymore and meet with my friends, but I soon discovered Stephen King and reading became a even bigger obsession of mine. When school started again it was pretty much the same as always. But now we are going in a lockdown again so that’s unfortunate, especially with Christmas coming around.

    My 2020 started with high expectations due to the band i play in really needing a lot of practise, nut i knew there was a lot of potential, so i wanted to spend a lot of time on that, and then coronavirus came...
    I first wasn´t too pissed about it because i rally prefer homeschooling over actual school, because it is way more compfortable.
    But then i slowly started to realise, that i can´t meet my friends during a pandemic. And I absolutely hated to realise that, because after two weeks, it got really really boring. But the real f*ckup was the middle/late part of 2020, because at a surtain point, it seemed like everyone decided to purposely ruin my fauth in humanity.

    My 2020 started really good,but when corona came everything changed.
    At first I couldn’t do anything,I couldn’t go to school or going out with friends.I also had to do homeschooling and I hated it.When Sommer came I could do stuff with friends again,but we often had to wear Maskes and with them it was hard to understand each other while talking.Right now we started the second lockdown and I have to do homeschooling again.
    I hope that I can meet my friends soon and that this all comes to an end.

    My year 2020 started pretty good at New Year‘s Eve, which I celebrated with my family. But then on the 13.3.2020 (I guess) there was the first lockdown and we had to do homeschooling and weren’t supposed to meet friend anymore so I spend lots of time in my room watching anime or playing videogames (often witch friends). Now it’s almost the end of the year and here we have the second lockdown so I can’t celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve with my family like we did all the last years.

    I started 2020 with school, being pretty normal, until spring, were the lock down started. I went into quarantine and over time span of almost half a year I had some big changes in my life. I went from long hair, no sense of (my own) style, insecure and with no goals to cutting my hair short, finding my style, always trying out new things, confident and having a dream. All though I was pretty lucky, what Covid-19 did to the world is just fucked up. I got the chance to be a way from school which was a healing experience. And I personally think kids my age should have the same experience it helps a lot. Especially in these trying times. I hope you all stay healthy!!!

    My 2020 started really good. I had a sleepover with 2 friends and we had lots of fun. I could go to school and everything was nice as shown in the first two pictures. Then Covid-19 came and destroyed everything. Now, in the end of 2020, I am sitting alone at home, having online classes.

    The year 2020 startet harmonic and peaceful with not that much problems besides the bush fires. Then in the 3rd month it startet to become worse we had a new virus and many new problwms we then had to stay at home for months. We could not go to school and visit our family but in the end it became the worse because we cannot meet our whole family at christmas eve.

    my 2020 started with a fantastic journey in the middle of snow-filled mountains but a few weeks later we were locked up at home doing lessons in front of a computer, and now we are finishing it the same way as it started. But this year I made many new friends and even with the numerous restrictions due to Covid-19 I had a great time.
    I hope 2021 is a great and joyful year.

    I started the year 2020 great! I was in the mountains for a vacation with my family and some friends having fun, skiing and relaxing. With the thought of finishing my homework soon, because soon I would be back at school, with my classmates and teachers. But instead it was like this only for a little less than a month, after which I suddenly found myself due to Covid-19, having to follow the lessons in front of a screen. And even today, after almost a year, we are in the same situation as at the beginning of 2020, even worse, you cannot see relatives and friends for the holidays such as Christmas and New Year and it is mandatory to use the mask both inside and out. I hope the year 2021 will bring everything back to normal as in early 2020.

    I started 2020 with a trip and a journey. The first one was a trip with my husband. It started on the 3rd of Jan. 2020 -we went to visit Bergamo, a nice city in the north of Italy - , the second one was to Dublin with my students and two colleagues. We stayed there from the 16th to the 22nd of Feb. 2020. We came back just in time for the lockdown.
    2020 ended at home with my family and Distance teaching/learning :(

    I started this 2020 with the quarantine which at the beginning was pleasant fun but when the summer came it was hell because between the mask, the distance and the sanitizing gel I didn't have fun like other years. then the scuala started again and it seemed that everything had been resolved but it was not so because the cases increased and closed everything again until January 7th.
    I spent the Christmas holidays closed at home, I went out a little because all my friends did not go out. I finished the year with my family gathered around the table to eat everything. 2021 has just started and there has already been an inconvenience or my mother has broken a finger. it starts well :). happy 2021 to all.

    I started 2020 at my friend's house, for a party to celebrate the new year.
    I was very excited about the new year but, unfortunately, Covid-19 was arrived. I spent the days of quarantine at home, like everyone, and it was very boring! Luckily we had a break from the virus during the summer. In September I started the school, but the Covid was back and I was forced to stay at home again.

    My 2020 started well, I was thinking about plans for the future but something very strange and unexpected changed this year, the Covid-19. I celebrated my birthday in quarantine, I followed the lessons online which was a new thing for everyone we had to get used to and the saddest thing is that I couldn’t go to my country and spend time with relatives. In spite of everything, for me it was a good year and full of surprises. I reached my first goal, pass the exam and attend Ariosto high school. In high school I made new friends, I met new professors and here I started the most important path. I hope 2021 will be a better year, when I can achieve other goals and improve my lifestyle.

    My 2020 started with the closing of dance schools and I couldn't celebrate the new year due to covid-19. It was a bad time for family reasons, but nevertheless it only strengthened my friendships. The best time was the summer because we had more freedom. 2020 ended with bad news for my family that I don't want to talk about ... The upside is that I met a very important person and made new friends with people who literally changed my life.

    This is my glow up in the 2020. I started 2020 at my friends house; it was a party to celebrate the new year. I was very happy and excited for the coming. A month later, in Italy, was arrived the Covid-19. So the school and the other activities closed and many people stopped working. The Italian people and not spent 4 months of hell, in quarantine. I was bored all the time in my house. At the end of the school year, my schoolmates and I took the exam in video lessons, in italian D.A.D. In September, after the holidays, I started the high school, but now our school has closed the institute. fortunately, I met a special person, who always make me smile. And your 2020?

    The year start quite good without problems, with mhy friend i was happy, I used to hang out with my gang, but then the virus came and I start to play a lot of fifa.
    I finished the 2020 playing fifa and R6 with my friends, i really like this situation because i can play 7/8 hours in a day.

    my 2020 started like all the other years with school until there was quarantine where I couldn't go out with my friends after there was the summer where I could go out more, then, school started and everyone had to stay indoors until the end of 2020

    i started 2020 very well because i love winter and in february there was my birthday. But after my birthday started the problem of Covid-19. in the period of quarantine i was really sad because i can't went out with my friends. The 2020 summer was the most happy period of this year, there wasn't quarantine and i went out with my friends.In the end of the year i started studied in my new school and i'm really exctied for this new adventure

    il mio anno è iniziato molto bene perchè amo l' inverno e nella meta di gennaio ho fatto un bellissimo viaggio in montagna.
    Dopo quel viaggio, a febbraio, abbiamo vinto un torneo a Gallipoli e appena siamo tornati, purtroppo c' è stata la quarantena che è stata un po' noiosa perché non si poteva uscire, ma me la sono passata bene comunque con la mia famiglia.
    l' estate è stata forse una delle più belle perchè son uscito praticamente tutti i giorni e mi sono divertito tantissimo. alla fine dell anno ho iniziato a studiare per una nuova scuola e riprendere gli allenamenti sempre con un po' di paura dei contagi, ma è andata bene e ho concluso l' anno nei migliore dei modi possibili.

    My 2020 started very well, with my friends and then a went to the montains to ski. I was very happy because in August I should have done an amazing trip abroad with my family. But because of covid-19 we didn't go. So we changed our plans and we did a little holiday in Italy. Then in September I started high school and I met new people. I'd imagined 2020 differently but it has been great anyway and I hope that 2021 will be better than this year.

    The year 2020 started really well with a skiing holiday in the mountains with my family and friends. Then unfortunately the pandemic started and we went in lockdown . No more school and no more hanging out with friends... it was really upsetting. Things improved during the summer. I spent it with my friends at the seaside. Then we started school , but we only went for a month. And now we are studing back home and there are a lot of restrictions. I hope that 2021 life can go back to normal.

    In the beginning of the year everything seemed normal after a few weeks we heard of a virus in China , but we didn’t expect it to be such a big problem. After a a few weeks more Italy got hit hard by the virus called Corona. But it was still to far away to think, that we would need to go into a lockdown as well. The days passed and it got worse and worse, ending in a lockdown for a long time and than in a school day with masks and other big changes. Now we are in another difficult phase because the numbers people with Corona are growing again. It’s pretty annoying, but I hope it’s over soon. But Germany reached its climate goals so not everything is bad.

    My 2020 started very well, I went to the mountains with my family and my friends.
    Fortunately, before the pandemic started, I went on a trip to Rome with my class.
    Then, unfortunately Covid-19 didn’t let us to go to school and so we started the video lessons until the end of the school year.
    During the summer I finally saw my friends and spent a lot of time with them.
    School started in September, I met new people but unfortunately after a month we didn't go there.
    2020 has been quite a difficult year and I really hope 2021 will be better.

    My 2020 started very well: I have spent a fantastic Christmas with my relatives, in Sicily. But unluckily, from March we had to stay at home for the Covid, doing online lessons; so, this 2020 ended very sadly:
    I've celebrated the New Year alone, only with my parents. I hope that this situation will be resolved soon.

    Here’s my 2020 was. My 2020 started very well but in February there was a new pandemic that forced us to stay at home for many months and changed our habits. The summer was about like the others and I had a lot of fun. In September School started, I met new friend but then the pandemic forced us to stay at home again. Despite everything I enjoyed it and hope 2021 is better.

    Well at the start of the year i was excited of the things that would happen during the year .
    At the end of the year i thought: "Finally this year is finishing, It has been very exciting, but we did it".
    The 2020 has been pretty sad and boring in my opinion: It has been sad because of all the loss i had like my can't going to the Caribbean, my can't going to Rome etc..; and boring because i couldn't do anything but stay at home and playing videogames or watching videos.
    I can say that 2020 has been an experience like going up to the mountains and fall causing your right leg and your left arm to break.
    What do i mean with this sentence? It deals a lot of damage but you can still recover from it.

    My 2020 started at my friend's house because we had a party. Unfortunately in spring the pandemic started and we had to stay at home. The summer was almost like the others and I had a lot of fun. In September I started high school and I met new people. I've celebrated the New Year at home with my mum and my sister.

    My 2020 started very well but the covid ruined everything. The last trip I made before the Covid was to Germany for an erasmus. This trip lasted two weeks and it was beautiful. Once back in Italy, almost five days later, they closed schools because of the Covid. March, April and May were the worst months of the year because you couldn't leave the house and you couldn't anyone. Fortunately in the summer the situation has improved and I was able to make some small beach holidays, for example I went to the Marche. Once we arrived in September the situation got worse again and we stayed at home again until now. We hope that 2021 will be better and that we will return to normal as soon as possible.

    My 2020 started pretty well, I spent the last day of the year with my family on the mountain watching fireworks with some of our family friends.When I got home, I had to finish my homework but I spent little time at school because, of the covid, we were closed at home for many months.Video lessons were very complicated at first, but as time went by I got used to this way of doing class.When I got home after the summer vacations, I started a new school year and I made many new friends but the period lasted very little and we are immediately back home with distance lessons.I managed to spend Christmas with my grandparents and on New Year’s Eve.I am very confident for this new year and I hope to be able to spend it with more tranquility than the previous one.

    In the beginning of 2020 you can go out with friends or family.But I think in March it got worse.The first corona cases in China came.And Every day there were more.In March it came to the first big lockdown.In the next months there were more then 1 million deaths on earth 🌍.At this time my french class and I wanted to go to France( but this didn’t happened).At the 18.December a new lockdown came out. The lockdown should be go to the end of the winter holidays.But now the conside to make a lockdown to the Easter holidays.😢2020 was a very hard year but I hope 2021 will be better!!!

    2020 started very exited, after christmas holidays met friends again and started second semester quite motivated. Eventually corona appeared and lockdowns begun and it changed everything. Summer was coming soon and there was hope that virus would be cured, but of course it was not. Though it was good summer for me it was still dangerous. Then again got exited for school to start, but as a result we are still trapped.
    hope 2021 we finally beat corona.

    2020 started with big forest fires in Australia and Amazon Rain forests. Lot's of trees and animals were destroyed.Also Kobe Bryant,the best basketball player and his daughter died in a plane crash.
    But the biggest problem in 2020 was COVID-19 Pandemic.Because of it we lost so many people,we can't meet each other very often,we have to wear face masks and keep social distance.
    I think the beginning and the end of 2020 weren't very different.The world started and ended the year with the same global problem.

    We wasted the best time in school to think about what we want to be in the future. I moved to a new school. I'm not introvert, but the Corona Virus doesn’t let me to get close with my new classmates. After the pandemic spread, lying in bed and scrolling on social media isn’t my favorite thing to do, so I decided to don’t let monotony to change me as an inert person. I started reading for fun, I attempt to work out every day and get my flexibility back.

    The whole summer I hoped that school would start and normal life would come back, but as we can see Covid-19 doesn’t give up, but my hopes do! I don’t even know what day it is. Maybe all of my friends were my imagination? Hope I’ll now one day!

    2020 wasn't the best year I've ever had, but it wasn't a bad year either. On the one hand there was of course Corona and you couldn't do that much, but on the other hand we didn't have any school and a lot of time to do something with the family. All in all, it was still a challenge for everyone because we had to limit ourselves a lot.
    But I still hope that 2021 will be a better year.
