Netiquette Video Conferences

  • Golden Rules

    for successful collaboration in videoconferences

In groups the students discussed rules for succesful collaboration in video conferences. They agreed on seven that they consider the most important. In a joint session with everyone, they presented them. From this, the ten essential rules for videoconferencing were developed.

      1. Do not pass on meeting codes to people outside the project group.

      2. Be on time with your devices ready and charged.

      3. Use your real name when logging in.

      4. Turn on your camera at least once at the beginning - it is easier to communicate when you see each other.

      5. Let others speak and do not interrupt.

      6. Mute yourself when it is not your turn to speak. If you have the rights, do not mute or kick out other people.

      7. Do not insult or harass other people.

      8. Concentrade on the conference - do not do other things like chatting or listening to music.

      9. Do not spam the chat - it is there for important questions.

      10. Be RESPECTFUL!
