Romania - October 2015
Visit in Bucharest (Romania) 20th - 24th October 2015
Our journey started on Tuesday, 20th October. The Polish team was represented by two English teachers: Mrs Beata Parada and Mr Marek Krzywicki. We arrived quite late, so we missed planned sightseeing in Bucharest in the evening. It was pity because this interesting city is really worth seeing. We were looking forward to the planned Romanian culture workshops in Bucharest on Thursday.
The early Wednesday morning was intended for the visit in the partner school Scoala Gimnaziala "Principesa Margareta". All the representatives from Greece, Portugal, Italy, Slovenia and Poland were welcomed warm in the school building. The pupils from the Romanian school have presented the artistic program with dances, songs and welcoming speech.
After that the project meeting started. The most important things like: activities, responsibilities, short-term exchanges of groups of pupils, short-term joint staff training events were discussed in detailed way.
In the afternoon there was the time for the next Romanian culture workshop in the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum. It was a very nice afternoon, during which we got a deeper insight into the history and culture of Romania.
On Thursday morning we visited the Scoala Gimnaziala "Principesa Margareta" school for the second time. The first two hours were used for “The course on different types of learning difficulties and ways to deal with them”.
Just after the course there was an official meeting with representatives of the City Hall, NGOs dealing with children who have learning difficulties, Regional School Department and teacher staff, parents.
After the coffee break there was “The course on using e-Twinning, Twin Space and other educational platforms at school”. This course was presented by Polish coordinator, Mr Marek Krzywicki.
In the afternoon, as a next part of Romanian culture workshops there was a short sightseeing of the Romanian capital city, Bucharest and the central part of the city, including the parliament.
On Friday, the most of the day was spend on Romanian culture workshops in places of unique beauty – Sinaia castle and Bran castle in Karpatia Mountains.
In the evening there was a farewell dinner – Romanian invitation. Another possibility to explore Romanian culture and its delicious cuisine.
On Saturday morning it was the time to say goodbye and we have left the hospitable Bucharest and returned home.
Thank you very much - our Romanian friends!!!!
It was a great stay in your wonderful country :-)

These are some views of our Greek partner school, the 2nd Experimental Lyceum of Athens. (2ου Πειραματικου Γενικου Λυκειου Αθηνων)
During the first day, the students presented themselves the work done regarding the most popular sport in their countries and the presentations about a famous living personality. We've learn a lot from all the partner countries. All partner students were also engaged in the Greek colleagues classes. They shared a lot about their schools and the Greek school.
All of us had the opportunity of visiting the ancient theater of Epidauros (Ἐπίδαυρος). The theater is admired for its exceptional acoustics, which permit almost perfect intelligibility of unamplified spoken words from the proscenium to all 14,000 spectators, regardless of their seating.
We also visited the Archaeological Museum of Epidaurus. Later, we went to visit the town of Nafplio (Ναύπλιο), the first capital city of Greece after the Greek independence back in 1821. Really a picturesque place with a wonderful sightseeing.
One of the highest cultural moments was the visit to the Athens Acropolis in an unforgettable guided tour. We appreciated also the new Acropolis Museum.
Our students could learn and practise a lot during a mathematical probabilities class held on the Museum of Mathematics, Arts and Science that has been conducted under a dynamic, creative, active and participatory methodology.
This same strategy was applied in some sessions teachers attended in the school: teachers' trainings about "Adaptive Learning Environments" and on "Methods and Tools in Teaching Science". This last one was conducted by Anastasia Mylona and her Physics teacher colleague.
Decisions taken during the mobility during the teachers meeting
In this mobility, all the coordinators and representatives from the partner countries decided some points that are stated here.
Dates for the Italy mobility were confirmed: from 17th to 23rd April.
Dates for Poland mobility were set: from 2nd to 8th October.
For the Polish meeting we will have to present the work done by our students regarding the essays about the National Day and the story behind it, as well as their experiences as volunteers.
We decided that when we are asked to present the work done by the students during the mobilities, it should only be presented the global work done by each school/country and not individual work projects as this takes too much time to present. The individual works should be in the e-twinning space and kept by the local teams.
We, finally, decided that the blog in the E-twinning space should be updated on a regular basis and filled by every school every month according to a calendar.
Also, we decided that in each visit someone should write an appealing sum up of the main things that have happened during the mobility and register it in the e-twinning space (here it is!)according to the following:
Romania – done by Poland.
Greece – to be done by Portugal.
Italy – to be done by Slovenia
Poland - to be done by Greece.
Slovenia – to be done by Romania.
Portugal - to be done by… (please add)
This is a picture of the Greek school wall where all partner students wrote what they liked. It will be in our minds for a long time, as well as this places we visited and that we won't easily forget.
The "Runner" (Δρομέας) in Athens. It makes us remember our work coordinating and working in this project!...
The beautiful forefront of the Greek Parliament at Syntagma Square.
And the famous Corinth Channel that separates the Peloponnesian peninsula from Attica.
And, finally, here are some living examples of the happy days we spent altogether in Greece...
Well, and soon the time to leave Greece ended! This was an incredible experience that will make us come back to Greece some day! Thank you students, students' parents, teachers and headmistress of the 2nd Experimental Lyceum of Athens for receiving and hosting us and for having provided us such an unforgettable experience.

Decisions taken:
Things discussed and agreed upon in Cassino:
- The dates for the mobility in Poland are final: 2nd – 8th October 2016. Tickets should be booked for Warsaw airport.
- For the meeting in Poland students have to prepare the projects about the National Day and the story behind it. As customary, projects will be uploaded on Twinspace prior to the meeting.
- No decision about the dates of the next mobilities was taken because we don’t have the school calendar for next year. The dates for Slovenia and Portugal will be decided in Poland (Slovenia in March 2017, Portugal in May 2017)
- The web-site of the project is under construction, most probably under the domain volunteersexperience.eu
- The students created very interesting projects in Cassino; however, the Romanian team collected the original projects and Romania is going to print a version of the booklet (the final product of the first year) for each country and bring it to Poland.
- It was decided that Italy will write about the mobility in Portugal on Twinspace and Greece about the mobility in Poland.
- Romania will host an International Symposium on 4th June and as many teachers as possible who take part in the project’s team are invited to contribute to it. Details will be sent via e-mail soon.
- On Friday 22nd April students who took part in the short-term exchange in Cassino wrote about their volunteer experience. Zorica has already collected and sent via e-mail most of the projects and they can be used next year.
In the afternoon:
Visiting Historiale in Cassino - the museum of the battle in Monte Cassino during the World War II
DAY 7:
FAREWELL - GOOD - BYE CASSINO, SEE YOU IN POLAND
The Erasmus+ meeting in Cassino was a very productive one. The aims of the project were completely achieved. The students were hosted by respectful and responsible families that contributed to the positive athmosphere among all participants.
Special thanks go to the co-ordinator or the meeting - prof. Patrizia Damatto as well as other professors who responsibly took care of all the activities taking part during our staying in Cassino. It was a precious experience for both students and teachers. Thanks again!

Poland - September 2016
Rejowiec, Poland 2nd to 8th October 2016
The week we spent in Poland was wonderful! Thank you, Marek! Thank you, Polish team!
Warsaw
Meeting Agenda
Sunday, 2nd October 2016: Arriving in Poland - Sightseeing in Warsaw
Warsaw, the capital of Poland, is a beautiful city which stands on the Vistula river. The historic city-center, the Old Town, is full of colors, shops, squares and many architectural attractions, like the Royal Castle. During World War II, Warsaw was razed to the ground by Nazi. However, Polish people have reconstructed their town from scratch. The paintings of Canaletto, which we can see in the castle collection, provided ivaluable help in the restoration of Warsaw.

Warsaw combines the "old" with the "new"; the socialist-realist architecture with elements of capitalism. Here we see the Palace of Culture and Science. This building was erected as a "gift" from Stalin.

Monday, 3rd October 2016: Welcome assembly at Rejowiec - Horse riding
The Polish school welcomed all the partner schools and prepared a beautiful presentation and a song for each country.
Polish students play music and sing for each of the six countries!
In the afternoon we visited a farm, where we saw animals, we rode a horse, we ate sausages and potatoes, we milked a goat and we played games.

Wednesday, 5th October 2016: Excursion - Sightseeing in Warsaw
This cold and rainy day the Erasmus team visited Warsaw, where a guide informed us about the history of the town. We walked in the Old Town, we saw characteristic monuments, like the Mermaid Statue, and we visited the Royal Castle, where we watched a movie about the history of the building and the Old Town generally.

Because of the bad weather, we continued our guided tour in Warsaw by bus.
On the way back we had a wonderful Polish dinner in Lublin, at a restaurant with interesting decoration.
Thursday, 6th October 2016: Working session at school - Visiting Majdanek and Lublin
This day the Erasmus team spent the morning at school. The students took part in lessons and the teachers had an interesting conversation about the Erasmus program. These are the decisions taken in the teachers' meeting (Thank you, João!).
After the lunch we visited the region of Lublin. First of all we had a guided tour at Majdanek, a concetration camp that was in operation during the World War II, from October 1941 to July 1944. These are the most predominant elements of this death camp;
The Gate-monument near the entrance of the camp
The double-fence with the barbed-wire

At night we had a wonderful walk and a delicious dinner in Lublin.
Friday, 7th October 2016: Visiting an Early Medieval Slavic town - Teachers' training at school
This day was full of fun. We visited an Early Medieval Slavic town, where students and teachers enjoyed a variety of actions, games, sports and dances.
Dancing videos
In the afternoon, back at school, teachers attended Marek's training course on designing a digital classroom.
Saturday, 8th October 2016: A last walk in Chelm - Leaving Poland
In the morning Greek team had the opportunity to walk in Chelm and visit the chalk mines of the town. The other countries had earlier flights, so they had already left.

A last hug
Bye bye, Poland! We will never forget your hospitality!
Most of our gratitude goes to our dear Marek, who has been extremely helpful and supportive during our stay. Of course, the whole Polish team worked efficiently in order to get the successful result of this meeting and we thank them for that! But Marek has been the soul of the planning and realisation of Rejowiec project!
See you soon dear partners!

THESE ARE SOME VIEWS OF OUR PORTUGUESE PARTNER SCHOOL:
During the first day, there was a welcome session at school and we shared a musical moment. We visited the school and the students took part in science activities in the labs.
During the second day, we visited Aveiro and we had the great pleasure to have a walk in the Beach in Costa Nova, a village in the Atlantic coast.
On Wednesday 26th, we had a reception at the City Hall and we took part in an interview to the local radio statio. (Radio Cova da Beira studios).
We also decided that each country has to write from 10 to 15 pages about all the intellectual activites done during these two years of the project. We discussed also about the questions to introduce to all our students, teachers and families in our school.
On Thursday 27 we went to Lisbon to visit the Jeronimos Monastery and Belem Tower are. It was such an exciting experience and the weather was wonderful!
During the last day, we had a farewell dinner at the school canteen and we really enjoyed ourselves!
Bye bye Portugal! We will never forget your hospitality! Most of our gratitude goes to our dear Joao and Armando, who have been extremely kind and helpful during our stay! It has been a wonderful week. Hope to see you soon dear partners!
