Working methodology:
We aim at comparing aspects of our native languages - Dutch and Catalan - using the foreign languages we are learning - French and English.
We also use other languages we know - Spanish or German - to help us reach our objectives.
We also use and give value to other languages the students of our schools know.
All this methodology reinforces our idea of languages as bridges.
We use different approaches to reach our objectives:
- Different ICT tools for shared activities,
- Gamification for our initial evaluation
- Project based learning
- Collaborative learning
Project integration in the curriculum:
The project is developed in the Moderne Talen subject (Herzele) and in French as a second foreign language (Manlleu). All students are second year secondary school learners. For specific language aspects the students had collaboration from pupils from other levels.
As the project deals with languages other school subjects - Dutch / Catalan language / English - are involved in the project. We had the help of other teachers for advice in some aspects about language.
