German week

  • Visit to the Max Morlock Stadium Nuremberg
During the guided tour of the Max Morlock Stadium we learned about sustainability concerning water consumption, energy supply, waste avoidance and recycling.

    TOPIC 1: Water

    • What statements are made about waste water and water supply?

    TOPIC 2: Energy

    • What statements are made about energy supply and energy consumption?

    TOPIC 3: Garbage

    •  What statements are made on the topic of waste?

    TOPIC 1: System City

    At home in the megacity?
The city of the future will be cool and intelligent: flying cars, smart houses, architectural wonders in the clouds and under water.
Nevertheless, the solution to our traffic and environmental problems remains complex. How can a city still be liveable when 20 or even 40 million people live in it?
Numerous exhibits deal with sustainable and resource-saving building and give an insight into future-oriented living concepts. The core of a city is its infrastructure: communication, transport and supply systems span an invisible network underground. This network is not only made visible in the exhibition, but also ventures a look into the future.
Prototypes such as the solar car "blue.cruiser" or the "Hyperloop" give an idea of what the transport solutions of the future might look like.

    TOPIC 2: System Earth

What will we make of the earth?
New technologies will conserve the planet's resources and at the same time promise
food for all, endless energy and control over the climate.
But as the global population grows and more people adopt western lifestyles, the demand for raw materials and energy increases. The exhibition area System Earth shows technologies that could change the way we deal with the earth's resources: Food should be produced more sustainably, electric power should be generated without greenhouse gas emissions and raw materials should be recovered.
The big picture is illustrated by a giant, floating globe.
Eight high-performance beamers use current data to illustrate the Earth system and the traces the traces our life leaves on the planet.
What can we do to keep the earth habitable? Exhibits, stations and installations such as the "garbage mountain" brought to life by projection, reveal inconvenient truths and offer prospect.
