We are very proud of living in a country that is comparatively small by size but boasts a wide variety of traditional costumes.

Bulgarian national garments were hand-made in the villages using materials that were produced locally. The traditional materials are linen, hemp, wool, silk, and cotton.

Bulgarian women made their costumes all by themselves. 

A group of five-grade students at our school gathered together to tell you about the elements, embroideries and colours of our national dress. The video is in Bulgarian but it is the pictures we would like you to view - it can also act as a guide to Bulgarian language. :)
