Environmental Impact of Technology | G2 Team IT 2 |
Questions | Answers |
Why technology affects our environment? | It causes pollution |
What are the negative effects on the environment? | Technology requires lots of energy and resources which are not replaced |
What is the most evident impact on the environment? | Air and water pollution and exploitation of natural resources |
Air Pollution | G2 Team IT 3 |
Questions | Answers |
What are the health consequences of air pollution? | irritation of eyes and nose and breathing difficulty |
what is it caused by? | Can be caused by Natural resources like volcano activities and deserts. |
Is air pollution decreased during the covid19? | Yes, it is |
Soil Pollution | G2 Team IT 4 |
Questions | Answers |
Why is soil pollution dangerous for the Earth? | Soil pollution can cause air pollution and water pollution, which are obviously harmful for all living species. Due to soil pollution we can be eating contaminated water and vegetables. |
does COVID-19 affect soil pollution? | COVID-19 has brought us a decrease in air pollution, but there are disadvantages as well. Because of the higiene protocols of disinfection of the water, the soil is affected by the substances that are meant to clean the water, such as chlorine, which is harmful to plants, humans and animals if ingested. |
How do humans contribute to soil pollution? | Humans contribute by using toxic pesticides and fertilizers on their farming fields, by doing burnouts, deforestation, and any kind of construction work that might cause soil erosion. |
Water Pollution | G2 Team IT 5 |
Questions | Answers |
what particular solution has your country adopted to solve water pollution?
is water pollution in your country a serious problem?
Have you seen that after the quarantine the sea is again polluted?
Noise Pollution | G2 Team IT 6 |
Questions | Answers |
Is there an Earth's zone without noise pollution? | Yes, there are some places where noise pollution does not reach, such as: Olympic National Park, Washington, US; Kelso Dunes, Mojave Desert, US; Kielder Mires, England; and Landmannalaugar, Iceland. |
Why is the noise pollution a so serious problem? | Noise polluiton is mainly caused by things that we enjoy(like a concert) or something that we use everyday(means of transport), and that we have knowledge of. They are very serious because we can't see it, but we are very harmed not only in hearing disabilities but also in mental health. |
How can we reduce noise pollution? | Although it is almost impossible to completely eliminate noise pollution, we can prevent it , such as avoiding very noisy places with a lot of noise, if you live in homes near noisy areas, have the option of putting double windows, turning off the home appliances like TV's or radios that we are not using, etc. One of the great advantages of the advanced technology of the times we live in, is that we can choose to prefer more pleasant sounds, such as putting sounds of birds , rain, to avoid noise. While driving, we should try to avoid extremely loud music, which not only affects us but also other people who are walking down the street or even in a car. These are some options of trying to stop noise pollution. |
Impact of COVID-19 on the environment | G2 Team IT 7 |
Questions | Answers |
What is the major effect of Covid 19 on the environment? | A large drop in air pollution |
How did the virus affect the wildlife? | Some animals have appeared in desert city streets |
How did the pandemic affect the economy? | There has been a decline in productivity |
Endangered Species | G2 Team PT 8 |
Questions | Answers |

Name one of the consequences of the Ice melting. | Rise of the water levels. |
Overpopulation and sustainable development | G2 Team PT 2 |
Questions | Answers |
How does overpopulation affect the earth? | Overpopulation affects the environment, putting pressure on resources such as water, food and energy. Pollution, soil degradation in the environment are effects of overpopulation. |
What's the cause of overpopulaion? | Overpopulation can result from an increase in births, a decline in mortality rates and an increase in immigration. |
Can we fix overpopulation? | Yes, we can. |
Renewable energy sources | G2 Team PT 3 |
Questions | Answers |
What are Renewable Energy sources? | Renewable energy, is energy that comes from natural sources, for example sunlight or wind (clean energy). |
What types of Renewable energy are there? | Solar energy, wind energy, hydroelectric power, biomass energy and Geothermal energy. |
How do Renewable Energy sources help the planet ? | if we use more renewable energy, we eventually stop using energy that is harmful to the planet and the environment |
Non renewable resources | G2 Team PT 4 |
Questions | Answers |
What is renewable energy? | Renewable energies are inexhaustible sources of energy obtained form the nature, such as the sun or wind. |
What are the renewable energy sources? | Wind power, hydropower, solar energy and geometric energy. |
Can non renewable resources be replaced? | No, because once used they cannot be replaced, for example, the fossil fuel that once used to power a vehicle, is lost forever. |
Deforestation | G2 Team PT 5 |
Questions | Answers |
