This was a very challenging and motivating project, that originated a great outcome - our magazine. Along the way, although I'm a Science teacher, I felt the need to keep learning about climate change, so I enrolled to a few online courses or seminars - "Our fragile planet", "Addressing the Global Climate Crisis in Your Classroom" and "A proposal for a better world: global change and the Agenda 2030". However they were all great, I've only concluded the first one.
The project was of great interest to the Portuguese team students. They were involved on the project since its planning. They played an active role throughout the project and as we can see from the assessmet results they've developed many skills: ICT, communication in English, creativity, autonomy, responsibility and critical thinking. At the end of the project most believe that their actions matter to mitigate climate change.
Some partners agreed on the importance of keep working on the topic - Climate Change -, so an Erasmus+ partnership was created and the project Climate Justice was born, under the coordination of the Turkish school (EFFL).
The global impact, at the level of teachers, students, families and school, has been very positive. We have made progress in our internationalization, also improving the image of our center in relation to the quality of the teaching provided. In addition, the collaboration experience with the partner centers has been very satisfactory, since thanks to them I have learned resources, strategies and ideas that will enrich the future international projects in which I participate. The impact of the project on my teaching task has been very enriching, learning new resources and teaching strategies. The quality of the product obtained and, in particular, the achievement of the proposed objectives, represents an added satisfaction in my professional career, which motivates me to continue participating in eTwinning projects of greater significance, success and complexity, learning from difficulties and enhancing the developed strengths.
