EWF Meeting in Finland 2022

  • EWF Meeting Jyväskylä 1.– 5.4.2022

4 teachers from Slovakia and Spain met in Jyväskylä (Finland) for a short-term joint staff training as part of Erasmus+ project ”Education Without Frontiers”. The aim of the meeting was to work on improving the quality of long-term mobility periods in participating schools based on the evaluation of the previous mobilities. During this mobility teachers also got the possibility to attend lessons, exchange pedagogical experiences and ideas and share best practices in teaching.

The teachers from Spain and Slovakia met a special needs teacher, had a lecture about digital material and exams and Finnish educational system. They also heard a presentation on Schildt International Study Line given by two Finnish students.

As a conclusion of the discussions some important improvements have been proposed in order to better the quality of the common long-term mobilities in the future. We would like to target the mobilities focusing on student´s motivation, personal learning goals, skills and talent by building an ideal student profile best matching the receiving school. In addition, each school´s key areas should be taken into consideration as well.

Challenges for the future will still be how to integrate the exchange students into natural science and maths learning. We also want our common mobility programmes to be more inclusive providing possibilities also for our special needs students.
