  • Our experiences during school closure

    Iria Pérez

The weeks of confinement are better that I expected, but there are also days in which i would like to hang out with my friends because I miss them so much, but normally I'm good, I try to do things all the time to not get bored and I go for a walk on the evenings so it isn't that bad. The things that I normally do for not to get bored are watch movies or series, reed, talk with my friend, spend tieme with my familly playing bord games or only talking, and spending time with my phone.
The classes online are a little bit strange, because we don't see each othe face to face if not with a screen in between, and we go slower than in class, so it's a little bit difficult, but we are triying to do our homework and some online exams.

    Sofía Antón

The weeks of confinement are good, but there are days in which I think that I would like to hang out with my friends, but also I'm good, I am trying to do things all the time to not get bored and I go for a walk on the afternoons or go to skate in the afternoon so it is not bad. The things that I usually do for not to get bored are watch movies or series, read, talk with my friends, spend time with my family playing, painting, drawing or spend sometime with my mobile phone.
The classes online are very strange, because is really difficult to accept that you have to see all your classmates in a screen and not in person and also is difficult because we are taking the subjects more slowly, but we are trying to do our homework and online exams.

This quarantine has been a difficult time, but we have get used to it. We have started using videoconferences for talking with our friends or having class, and we have learnt not get to near to talk with anybody, even if you met a friend on the street. The masks are now part of our outfit and now we see people smile by only looking at their eyes. Walking in the street is relaxing but stressing at the same time, because we have become a little paranoid and we can’t think in crowds all together without social distance. Anyway, we have changed our lifestyle, and we now spend more time with our family. Life has stopped to restart in a different way, and we are getting used to it.

These weeks have been very hard, not only for me, but for everyone. We are having to get used to an unusual situation, and you want it or not, it is difficult.
It is a few weeks in which we feel alone, sad and we wish we could return to normal. It is disappointing to see how many young people do not meet the standards, and let us no longer talk about adults who do not, since, in my opinion, it is even more degrading and shameful.
On the other hand, there is always something positive, in this case it is being able to spend time with yourself and reflect. Especially in this quarantine I have realized all the things that we underestimate and that now we realize the importance that they have. Definitely, every cloud has a silver lining.

These weeks of confinement, are being a little weird. Some times you miss your friends or your familly, but also there are some days that it´s okay to be with you and to lisent yourself. On the other hand all the days are being the same, and you have to be doing different things every day and you are run out of ideas. However we have time for our favorite hobby or to find another. Me for example, I´m taking some tame cooking becouse before this I didn´t have time. In conclusion, I send you patience and I wish you luck to find a new hobby!!!!!

All of us, we are living a strange situation, this experience it's going to be another point of view for my life and I will begin to take care of my things I didn't give value in the past, but I now that life never going to be normaly or maybe for while. It's so sad that much people died and sanitary and transports have been so helpful and I´m so grateful. Now, I think that I'm lucky because even if I have been stayed home for long time me and my family haven't gotten sick of covid-19, and that it's lucky because so much people have had to bear to see their family members die without say goodbye and it has been very painful for they and for doctors. This experience make me to be more honest and not be selfish.

    Eva Torcal

We're living in a situation we never live in. This is an experience I never forgot. The weeks of confinement are good, but sometimes I miss my friends and my family but there are times when I preferred to be alone and reflect on my things other days I play with my family or I am with the mobile. On the other hand, I try to do different things every day to don't get bored that sometimes I run out of ideas. But the positive thing about this quarantine is that it's allowing me to organize things better and do my favorite hobbies like dancing, watching TV (movies and series). It's made me realize the importance of all this.

Hey! These are tough times that we are living. My experience during quarantine is not as bad as I thought, I spent more time with my family, and I try to have a daily goal to motivate myself. Every weekend I Skype with my grandparents because I can´t visit them, it was very hard to teach my grandmother how to use skype (it took us a few tries before she learned it). With my father I face-time twice a week and I show him the things I am doing during quarantine. I am a lucky person because I have a little balcony with lots of plant and a little chair and table where I can sit and tan a little bit. I do a lot of sport at home because before quarantine a was a very active person and now I try to keep it that way.

    A BIG HUG!

    Álvaro Herráez

This period of my life is being very weird and tough, but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. The first weeks were strange, but then I started getting used to it.
I think the worst thing is that we can't see our friends and hang out with them, but we have to deal with it. On the other hand, the best thing is that we are able to spend more time with our families and share with them this strange period.
During this quarantine, I've been doing lots of things to stay entertained: reading, playing PS4, playing the piano... and I've been doing a lot of sport in order to keep my physical condition.
I hope you're well and take care of yourselves!!

These 2,5 months have been very difficult for me. I know, for my classmates, too. I prefer to have alive lessons but not online. And I like walking and going out with my friends. It was scaring to read about all these cases of deaths of lots of people from different countries. I'm looking forward to meeting my friends. I live on the shore of the Black sea, so, I'm looking froward to going to the beach, too.

    Pablo Temes Alonso

these months i can sleep all the time that i want and i have play all the time that i want, but i have do all the works that the teachers put meand nothing more.

    Marcos Salmerón

These abnormal circumstances with the the virus have produced the confinement of all Spain. In these few weeks, I improve my nutrition removing saturated fats and fast food and I started training harder at home. It is a little bit difficult to train in this period because gyms are closed so I had to think in some ways to do the same exercises that I usually do at the gym at home. I also made harder my boxing trainings like shadowboxing with dumbbells because when this situation finishes, I want to sign up in a boxing gym. Also, in this quarantine, I had a lot of time to think in myself and that's something I usually don't do and I realized that is a very good thing for me.

Actually when i heard that we were going lockdown in Italy, i thought it would be really bad and boring staying at home all day, it turned out the opposite! This quarantine taught me many things and i learned to make better use of time and also I started to care more about myself: i found out that when i’m not around some people i feel better. Obviously there are people who care about me and that they are always there, even in times like these. During this quarantine I tried to use the phone as less as possible and to read books and do other things, even if it was difficult to do it for 3 months. The videolessons were strange and I didn’t like them because in videolessons we don't exchange opinions and we don't have a physical contact and i think these two are the keys for learning.

    Geovana Silva Dos Santos

    These weeks of lockdown in Italy have been difficult but it has also been a fairly positive experience;
first of all, I spent a lot of time with my family, and in order not to get bored besides studying, I read some books, watched TV series, video-called my friends and did physical exercises to keep fit. Regarding
the video lessons were strange at the beginning because we could not interact much with the classmates and the teachers, but despite this we managed to follow the lessons and carry out the assigned checks.
I hope you are all well.

    zeka clara

At the beginning of the quarantine I was a little scared (as everyone thinks) and above all I thought I would be bored.
but actually I wasn't bored, for example I had more time to study, do my homework but also to watch some movies ...

obviously we did the video lessons, which I didn't like very much. for example I had time to bring on with the study but it is not the same thing as being in class, having physical contact.I discovered values for example of being with family and before the quarantine I was always with my friends and not with my family.I hope you had fun during the quarantine!

    Carlo Banfi

Covid - 19 has changed our life. All Italians had to stay home for a long time. We couldn't see our friends and our grandparents. In this situation the schools were closed and we had to find other ways to attend lessons. Luckily thanks to technology and the video lessons we have finished the school program. But it was more difficult and it wasn't the same.
During these weeks of confinement I had a lot of time to study, do my homework, read books and stay with my family. In addition I watched a lot of films and I played video games , but I was often bored.
In conclusion I hope that this virus will never return.
I am sure that we will all remember this situation forever.

    Giulia Ghidini

During the confinement period we had to stay home, without meeting anyone.

We had videolessons but this kind of teaching and learning is not good for me . Staying in front of the pc is really more tiring and boring than staying in the class room .

In this long period I have spent my time studying, watching tv series and films

    Rebeca Loor

I think these weeks haven't been as bad as I expected. But it's also true that, after so long time, I miss to go out, see my friends and I have to admit that also I miss going to school.
I wish we didn't have to finish the school year without saying goodbye and knowing that the next year, many of our classmates won't be with us.
For my part, I have enjoyed watching series and playing the guitar but also I have been stressed because the online classes. In my case, it was learning to organize myself and to be responsible, because I'm not very good with that.
In any case, as much I have to do or I am bored, I am happy to know that little by little we are overcoming this pandemic. And I know that I’m lucky because I’m good and people I care too.

    viola ginevra

During these months of lockdown, I understand even better the importance of hugs or a kisses towards the people we care about. I miss so much go to school, I like the lessons online, but I prefer the school environment, see my friend and my teacher.
Furthermore, I don’t know why, but for me the lessons online are more tiring than the lessons at school, although there are less hours of lessons than usual.
In general, during my experience of school closure I am getting on well.
I have more time than usual for study and do my homework, but I am sometimes bored, because in my free time, I can’t go out for a walk, see my grandparents, or meet my friends as I did before.
I spent time also for whatching TV series, which I love watch in original language, for read, study and call my friends.

    Demiri Emerxhan

This virus changed my life. Each of us had to stay in our homes for months in order for the infections to decrease. Only in phase 2, after 3 months in quarantine, we were able to meet our friends and family. During these weeks of captivity I had a lot of time to study, do my homework, read books and be with my family. The lessons had to be done through the internet, a method in my opinion, we spent hours and hours in front of a screen and it was very tiring. During this quarantine I spent a lot of time thinking. i watched a lot of tv series but many times not being able to go out i was very bored. Now this situation has subsided slightly and I hope it continues like this.

    Valentina Sbarretti

During this period of quarantine, we all couldn't go out and see ours friends; it was so hard for us, and for me too, but I had time to reflect about many things, that I had not understand before. Like my lifestyle, that was disorderly.
In quarantine I did so many things at home (like training or reading) I studied, I did my homework, and I also watched films, and series, and for that I wasn't bored at home.
I this time we also couldn't go to school, and it was so sad for me, the teachers found other way for the lessons; we attend the lessons in videocalls, that could resolve this problem, but it wasn't the same.
In conclusion I did some things at home which allowed me to not get bored, at school we could finish the program, but it was so sad for me.

    Rodrigo Riesco

As many people I haven't done many things during this lockdown, most of the things I've done are homework and play videogames, that are the things I usually do to entertein my self, play videogames (normally in computer), watch some anime or maybe go out with my friends, but as we are in this situation I can only watch anime and play games, sometimes I also go trought some social media or see some of my favorite streamers, hopefully none of my family members has been afected by the virus, we all feel well, hope you all are good

    Abril Sánchez Font

This weeks during the confinement are been extrange. It is a situation that we have never live before. I have tried throught all this period pass it as best as possible, taking advange of the time, doing mi homework to finish it to then can stay with my family, or chatting with my friends.
How many of people, It has been a time to think, and prove other new things, In my case, I have start playing videogames with some friends, It was cool! And right now, I hope that we could found the solution soon.

    Etienne Treppi

When confinement was announced i wasn't very surprised seen how the situation was going i expected it just took me a while to accepted it.
At the begining, the first five days, it was like i lived in holiday also because the school didn't started the online lessons.
But after some weeks i have many moments when we didn't know what to do, luckly in my house there is a little garden where i can went to get some air.
During this month our lifes canged and, even if everyone doesn't understand it, it will take some time to come back to normal life, we have to be patient and respect the rules because going back to confinement again could be irremediable

    Pablo.Fernández

During this quarantine not many things have happened to me, luckily it was a quiet experience, I was able to get up later but trying not to leave my studies behind.
the most interesting thing in my quarantine has been listening to my mother's anecdotes that happen to her during the day as a doctor

    Pedro Rosuero

This confinement is being hard for many, for the students also, even if they do not believe it, they are sending us more homework than normal and the bad thing is that you have to study it from home, which becomes more difficult, I the truth is that a large part I spend my free time playing computer or console, it is boring because you can go outside very little and if you go out you have to be away from your friends etc.

I hope that in your countries it is being better.

    Gloria bocchi

this pandemic changed our everyday life. We have all been home for 3 months, we have not been able to see our grandparents, cousins, uncles, friends, the schools were closed but thanks to today's technology we have been able to make video lessons and continue our school program, in my opinion the video lessons were very difficult and it was not like being in school. During these 3 months I got a little bored because the days were monotonous but on the other hand I spent a lot of time with my brothers, parents, I had more time to study also I thought more about myself.
Finally I hope this virus never comes back

    Giulia Iperi

In these months of quarantine, I have been at home with my family, keeping in touch with my friends;it brought many changes. During quarantine I had a lot of time to reflect and do things that before, maybe because of too many commitments I couldn't do. In the morning I would make the videos calls with the professors, they started to do them almost immediately; it was nice to be able to experience this new way of doing lessons.During the day I would call my friends: I spent a lot of time with them on the phone. Then I did my homework and I got ready for the tests. Very often I did home training. I watched, in the spare moments, of TV series and movies, very often with my family since we could spend more time together. I hope you are all well.

    Chiara Valenti

The quarantine we have been into for more than 2 months wasn’t easy. The difficulties were many, but let’s talk about the good things we learnt during this period. Personally I started listening to the radio, which I find really interesting and versatile, I started watching comedy shows and I started enjoying little things, like waking up early and go in my garden watering my plants. Right now that we can go everywhere, obviously with masks and social distancing, I noticed that I am a great observer of everything that is around me, nature, animals and agriculture too. I still enjoy little things like going to the vegetable garden and eat some fruit under the tree or riding the bike in my small town, discovering new streets. So, we can say that we managed to find something good even in these difficult times and it’s something to be proud of.

    Alessandra De Padova

    Covid-19 has changed my life.
Before the pandemic my days were always full, that is, I left the house in the morning and returned in the evening. Staying at home all day at the beginning was a strange and complicated moment, but over time I got used to it. I spent a lot of time with my family and thought about many aspects of life. Although I couldn't leave the house, I was always in contact with friends. My days began with video lessons, which was a new experience for all of us; but despite this new learning method I was able to follow the lessons. During the afternoon, however, I did homework and studied for the tests assigned by the teachers and sometimes I also did training to keep myself trained.I hope you are all well

These weeks have been difficult, I have had ups and downs. There were times when I forgot what was going on, but the news and mass media brought me back to reality. I knew I wasn't on vacation, that everything was obligatory: you had to stay home.
The lockdown has changed a lot, but we have to go back to reality even if with many changes: safety distances, continuous hygiene of the premises and hands, social distancing and a lot of attention.
Unfortunately, the corona virus exists and won't be destroyed before a few years, when scientists have invented a real vaccine.

    Aurora Lunato

    during this period of quarantine the days seemed to be longer and never to pass, during the morning I made video lessons that occupied time;
I did not like these lessons because they were very different from school and bored me more, but I managed to learn and study how to be in school; I also learned that we must not take anything for granted because from one day to the next you can run out of nothing.
It was a difficult period because being always at home does not help anyone, people can be more nervous and sad, but in my case I was lucky enough to have a united family that is close to me in difficult times.

    Eleonora Cardillo

in this quarantine, it was difficult to adapt to the new way of doing school, I would say that not going to school and following from home is not a good idea, also staying still to see a screen for 5 hours is not a great thing, even for our eyesight, this period has helped me to take care of myself hoping for a better me, I realized that time is not to be wasted but it is precious until the last second, this experience at school level does not I would do it again, I was and I'm afraid for my family because this virus is still in circulation, the important thing is that everyone respects the rules and that r inspect the distancing, this for a more peaceful tomorrow, without more infections

    annapaola

this virus has changed the lives of all countries in the world. since this pandemic started, I have spent my days at home, fortunately with my healthy family members. I have not been able to see my grandparents, my uncles, my cousins and my friends for 3 months, during the quarantine period. now my days were monotonous: in the morning I was taking lessons at a distance and in the afternoon I was trying to do something different than usual. this situation, even now, seems to me surreal, because the life of any person has changed from one monent to another. before I never thought of having to go out with a mask, now we need to use it every day, wherever you go. during the quarantine, seeing the cities, the most famous squares in Italy, deserted, made me absurd sadness.

    Carlo Ferrari

The virus that is now underway has changed everything,
I spent my days at home, with my family members in good health, keeping me in training
The days were always the same: in the morning I connected for lessons and the rest of the day I used to study and watch TV series. this situation, even now, seems to me surreal, because the life of any person has changed from one monent to another. before I never thought of having to go out with a mask, now we need to use it every day, wherever you go. during the quarantine, seeing the cities, the most famous squares in Italy, deserted, made me think how much this virus has affected our country.
It was really strange to spend so much time at home, without being able to go out and see our loved ones and friends.

    Fenoli Chiara

In these months we did the lessons online in the morning, at the beginning it was interesting because it was new, but after I started to miss normal school. Thanks to social I had heard my friends and my family with videocall, we felt near. On may I watched series tv and film. These are the only things that I did in these months because I wasn’t well since march, so I didn’t do nothing. This quarantine taught me, in my life I talked about things as if they were small but when I hadn’t this little things, I learned that they were bigger. I stayed with my family every day, before the quarantine I saw they only in the evening. My routine was boring, always I hoped to go out but I learned a lot of important things.

    Nicole Bassi

During the confinement I learned to adapt to this unusual situation.
I understand that the little things, when you don't have them, are very important.
During the day I did video lessons and often video calls with my friends and my grandparents.
I have watched a lot of tv series and I also cooking cakes.
I had a very boring routine, but I always tried to do many things during the day.
It was an interesting experience to understand many things, I missed my friends very much, but I think I lived it good.

    Alice Merlini

These three months of lockdown in Italy have been heavy, not going to school and taking lessons online is strange. I am often bored, I have more time to study and do other activities, but the days seem long.
This period changed our life, I understood the importance of a hug and the importance of taking lessons with classmates and teachers. I hope everything will return to normal in September.

    Inés López

It's been tough weeks for all of us. Some had managed it better than others. In my case, it's been difficult to keep up with school because I get bored very easily. I much more prefer going to school even though I have to wake up earlier. It's been hard not seeing my friends and family. I'm used to do a lot of things during the weeks and know I can bearly do anything, which has been hard. I hope this ends soon, so that we can return to normality as soon as posible.
