  • Sračinec Elementary School started operating in 1948 under the name Mate Melinček Elementary School. The school also includes the Svibovec Regional School, which operates in Svibovec Podravski. Over the years the school has developed, and in 1999 the school gets a modern sports hall.

    4/15/2005 year, the school receives the status of ECO school. Our school is a school with zero tolerance for violence.
    11/22/2006 begins a major upgrade of the school within the Public-Private Partnership of Varaždin County with the aim of realizing one-shift teaching, and 01.9.2007. the school begins with one-shift classes.
    Elementary school Sračinec is attended by 538 students in 29 classes. The school employs 45 teachers, 2 professional associates and 13 members of the administrative and technical staff.

    Our students can participate in a number of extracurricular activities that guide them towards new experiences and learning in a more relaxed environment. Some of the extracurricular activities are: creative workshops, robotics, modern and traditional dance, music workshops, drama group, first aid, English reading room, intercultural group, music choir, eco-creative section, chess, hiking, historical and ethnographic group, household, etc. .
