Escola Martinet opened in 2008 and since then we have been involved in many different projects. Our school is set in Cornella de Llobregat, a city in the metropolitan area of Barcelona. We are a successful state school with more than 475 students from 3-12 years old and around 30 teachers. Our students come from different backgrounds and nationalities. Our school welcomes and is open to everybody (families, students, teachers and other professionals) regardless their religion, nationality, ideology, background. We like feeling being at Martinet School like being in a big family where we care about each other.
We have engaged many successful projects, integrating different abilities, like the Multilinguist Generation (GEP) in Catalonia. We like working following different methodologies according to the activities prepared and the target audience. Being part of the Erasmus family is a very important asset as along with any project you are involved in you are also connected with an European dimension which provides many important values. Our school’s European Development Project specifies the importance for us in providing our whole school community with the opportunity to learn from and share with other communities in Europe, creating bridges between cultures and different points of views.
This new project will help us improve how we deliver our curriculum in 2 important areas: maths & technology. We want to explore, learn and improve our teaching methodologies, so we can set innovative and active methodologies which can help all our students to improve their learning and competence, and of course to our teachers to learn different ways to teach and get to all students helping them to reach their goals. The Erasmus+ KA101 project our school got in 2017 focused in innovation, the participation in SEPIE’s meetings and eTwinning training courses have led us to coordinate this project. All those training activities in which our staff were involved will be the starting point of this project, this time involving our students and other European schools, to which we want to share what we do best and from which we want to learn. Sharing and learning together make us grow stronger.
