Virtual School Exchange
Objectives:
- To discover the Polish school system, curricula and classe
- To discover the Polish cultural heritage
- To finalize the Intermediate Level Quizz in History and geography, the Advanced Level Quizz in German Foreign Language and the Intermediate Level Quizz in Economy
- To play and test our Europa Trivia Game
- To discuss the rules of our Europa Trivia Game
Tuesday 26th January 2021: “School Day”
9.00-10.00: Welcome ceremony including a welcome speech of the Polish head teacher (recorded video in Polish with English subtitles), a welcome speech by Laurence Altibelli, the project coordinator, a welcome speech by Paweł Ciesielczuk, the Polish project coordinator and greetings from the French, Finnish, Spanish and Lithuanian teachers. Ice-breaking activity organized by a Polish teacher.
10.00-10.15: Presentation of the Polish school system
10:15-10:30: Break time
10.30-11.00: Presentation of the Polish school (photos and videos with Polish students’ comments)
11.00-11.30: Online video chat on the topics of local weather, Covid-19 pandemic, distance learning etc moderated by Polish students and teachers
11.30 -12.00: Project management session with the students about TwinSpace activities organized by Laurence Altibelli.
12.00-12.30: Lunch break
12.30-14.00: Group session I to carry on the online teamwork on the Quizzes.
Students are divided into three groups:
→ German Foreign Language
→ Economy
→ History and Geography.
They are given presentations by volunteer students to learn on their subject matters and/or are given a regular lesson on the subject by a Polish teacher.
Wednesday 27th January 2021: “Chełm Day”
9.00-9.30 Polish foreign language lesson by a Polish teacher
9.30-9.45: Break time
9.45-11.15: Group session II to carry on the online teamwork on the Quizzes.
Students are divided into three groups:
→ German Foreign Language
→ Economy
→ History and Geography.
They teamwork to finalize the Kahoot quizzes for the 3 Categories mentioned above.
11.15-11.30: Break time
11.30-12.00: Presentation of Chelm with photos and videos
12.00-12.30: Lunch break
12.30-13.00: Online visit to the local museum in Chełm
13.00-13.30: Online visit to the Old Chalk Mine in Chełm guided by Polish teachers and students
13.30-14.00: Presentations on Polish music

Thursday 28th January 2021: “Region Day”
9.00-9.30: Presentation on Poland
9.30-10.00: Online visit to the Lublin province
10.00-10.15: Break time
10.15-11.00: Online visit to the State Museum at Majdanek and the Museum and Memorial in Sobibór
11.00-11.15: Break time
11.15-12.00: Online visit to the Goth village in Masłomęcz
12.00-12.30: Lunch break
12.30-15.00: Testing the ETG Quizzes and Farewell Ceremony
15.15-16.00 Teachers’ project meeting
