Mestrelab
Mestrelab is a company that makes specific software for chemical laboratories.
It has about 12 employees in Galicia, and more workers in other countries. It makes about 5 million euros per year.
The big strength of Mestrelab is that it only has one company that can compete with it, and it has strong contracts with big universities like Yale, Chicago, Oxford...but it has a lot of private enterprise partners like Bayer, John or Pfizer.
The big weakness of Mestrelab is that it sells a too-specific product, which means that the target market of the products is only a few laboratories, and that it faces threat from its competitor.
