English Idioms

  • What is an idiom? A group of words in a fixed order that have a particular meaning that is different from the meanings of each word on its own.

    Example : The exam was a piece of cake. This means the exam was very easy. 

    We will organize our pupils in three teams per classroom. These teams will need a name (Eager Beavers 1, 2, 3 for example).

    Each team will exchange one English idiom about school, education, children or environment with their team partners to make drawings about it. They will use the following TwinBoard.
