COMPARATIVE INSTITUTIONAL STUDY

  • During the mobility of Italian students to Spain, all of involved students in the project shared their results and they were introduced to others students belong to ITCG Masullo-Theti.

    Students have obtained the following conclusions about their institutional studies:

    1º Nola has more residents (34.336) than Mota del Cuervo (6.370).

              

    2º The percentage higher of population is between 30 and 49 years old.

        

    3º Most of people from Nola has certificate of secondary education, however most of people from Mota del Cuervo hasn’t any studies.

      

    4º Local unemployment rate in Nola is higher than in Mota del Cuervo, despite the fact that national unemployment rate in Italy is lower than in Spain.

        

    5º In Mota, the unemployment rate by gender is roughly the same for men and women, but women are four points above men. That situation is similar in Nola.

        

    6º Concerning the rate of active population in each economic sector, in both cities the main sector is terciary sector, followed by secondary sector.  Although, in Mota del Cuervo the rate of active population in secondary sector is higher than in Nola.

     

    7º Although Mota del Cuervo is situated in a rural area the most of their companies are involved in secondary (136) and third sector (150). That situation is similar in Nola.

         

    8º Spain has inflation while Italy has deflation. The annual rate of inflation in Spain is 1%, however the annual rate of inflation in Italy is -0,2%.

    9º The average income level of the population in Spain is lower than in Italy

                                                

    10º The average expenditure per capita in Italy (24.020) is higher than in Spain (10.695).

    11º Italy is a country with a high percentage of imports (28,3%) and exports (28,4%). Unlike, Spain has a low percentage of imports (7,7%) and exports (4,7%).

    12º The higher percentage of local ecological businesses is found in the tertiary sector both in Nola (55%) and in Mota del Cuervo (53%).

     

    13º Both in Nola and in Mota del Cuervo there are local grants for business development.

    14º There are taxes levied dangerous economic activities in both cities. The causes of these taxes are the noise pollution, the environmental pollution and chemical pollution.
