We arrived in Cieza early sunday afternoon. We were welcomed by the various teachers and families set to take care of us. I (Leonhart from Norway) was welcomed by Ines and her family (my hosts). The first day was very nice, I got to see the room I am staying in, we had lasagna for lunch. We met some of the other students in the evening, they were very polite. We ended up playing table football and watching a Real Madrid football match.
The next day we went to the school and received a tour of the place, and then later around some famous sights in Cieza. We went to a cave on the side of a mountain, where there is a 7 000 year old mural/cave painting, this was quite interesting to learn about. We also went to see a field of very beautiful flowers, and got to see and learn about solar panels at another location. We learned that the panels provide the entire town + 11 000 people with electricity. We then went home to our host families, where we took a break, before going back to the school and started writing this.
On Tuesday (the nxt day) we went to two different museums. The first one was "Casa-museo de semana santa", which is the museum where they store the different thrones and statues of biblical characters, which they use nto carry around during the celebration of "Semana Santa". The other was called "Siyasa Museum". There was a variety of exhibitions that relates to the cave we went to see the day before. For the rest of the day we went on a hike, up the mountain closest to Cieza. It took in total 3 hours, but the view was worth it.
On wednesday we all started the day of by joing one of the classes, the options were Spanish, English and Music. I ended up choosing Music, where we played the flute. The rest of the day we went around Cieza meassuring the amount of noise throughout the town.
