First Day
Norwegian- When I came to Spain yesterday I was excited, because of the vibe, which is made by the beautiful weather, flora and friendly people. Host family welcomed me well with the flags of Norway and Spain. Then we got home, we ate empanadillas and I fell asleep for 2 hours. My friends hook me up and we went out to the Príncipe de Asturias park and two bars to play futbolin and eat something, while we watched football match- Real Madrid vs. Betis.
On monday the whole school welcomed us with flags, some students showed us their dance, which was amazing and we went to visit a cave inside the Cañon de Almadenes. The way there was really tight and scary. We saw a paint made in 7000 b.c, which showed a human with a hat. Out there were purple and pink blossom flowers. They showed us also a solar panel plants and explained how they work. Next at 14 o’clock we came back to the Cieza and had siesta, which is typical for Spain in opposite to Norway, where we have no pauses in the middle of the day. It was surprised how the streets were empty and everybody ate and chilled at home. The things I liked the most are how people are friendly and loud, even though they speak just in espanol they can talk to you or explain you something and the nice weather, cause we still have snow in Norway.
Danish- I came in Saturday, and the host family's welcame us. Very gently, then I met my whole host family. The live on the countryside, a little bit out of Cieza, then we drove all the way out there to see the house, and ate some chicken. The we took to Cieza again and met, all my friends. Sunday Marta and Dea, came out to my host family’s house, were we relaxed, and petted the two dogs, which are Great Dane’s. Monday started with a warm welcoming, at the school, and the we drove in bus out to see a cave painting, which was a man with a hat. After that we saw the flowering of the peaches, and tasted some local olive’s. Later we went to see a lot of solar panels, and the explained, how it all work. Then we got back in the city, and got siesta. The spanish people is very welcoming and open. But all the streets are full of cars there are parked.
Second day
Norwegian: On tuesday we visited the holy week museum, where we could see statues on thrones, which uses on Semana Santa, when it is easter in Norway. We heard that some people are carrying the thrones thru the Cieza in special uniforms, which hides face. The thrones are decorated by many flowers and shows statues of important events of Bible for example when Jesus was carrying the cross. Next we was on Siyasa museum and saw the reconstruction of typical arab house. I liked most the balcony, because it had a beautiful view of the town. We got our pause and walked to the Atalaya, a big mountain with beautiful view. The way up was very difficult, but I think it was worth it and not that bad.
On wednesday I got spanish lesson with students. We talked a lot and they asked us (Me and my danish, norwegians friends) about us and our country. Some things surprised them, but it was a nice experience. The spanish teacher was really nice and friendly. We got also time to say hello to some classes at the school and kindergarten. I liked all the babies there. Next was a experiment a noise pollution, where we walked around the town to make a map with noise pollution with green, orange and red points. We came back to school and planted a tree.
Danish- On Tuesday I was on the holy week museum, and the siyasa museum. The holy week museum, was incredible interesting. The holy week was not like a museum more like a station where they were, when they was not in use. The siyasa museum was more like a “normal” museum, and the books were translated to english. After the museums we had a great time walking around in the Cieza, later the day we hiked the Atalaya mountain. Then i got siesta, and had a very well prepared lunch. Then I had a bakeri workshop, where we made tortas, which was a good experience, and it tasted fairly well. Then I walked around in Cieza, and saw the conservatory of music in Cieza, sadly only on the outside. The dinner was amazing i got tortilla de patatas. Which is omelet with onion and potato.
Danish- On Wednesday I picked english as my subject, and learned a lot about Cieza, because the class had prepared a presentation about Cieza and its history. It was pretty well made. Then I were in a lot of classes and saying hi to the smaller children in the school. Later that day we made some measurements in Cieza, all the measurements where around the noise pollution. After that we needed to type all our measurements on a map.
