  • A STORYTELLER AROUND THE WORLD

     

    About the project

    The following three steps are the three keys that will open the doors to "collaborative storytelling":
    OBSERVATION (meeting the world around us), IMAGINATION (giving wings to creativity), CREATION (giving colours, shapes, sounds, voice to dreams).

    Aims

    Getting familiar with the digital learning and its strict procedures, as a wideworld means of communication.
    Getting familiar with the reality of other countries and their cultural heritage.
    Exploring our own territory finding out its history and culture, and retelling them with a bit of...imagination, in rhyme, music, picture, etc., just like a storyteller.

    Work process

    5 MODULES:
    1) GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER
    2) MOVING AROUND: presenting interesting sites of the territory;
    3) ONCE UPON A TIME: discovering legends and traditions about it;
    4) ONLINE CLASSES OF MIXED LEVELS, NATIONALITIES AND AGE: creation of a short story about a fantastic and magic journey. Full immersion in collaborative activities.
    5) EVALUATION AND SELF-EVALUATION ACTIVITIES.

    The project shoud go on from Sept. 2015 to May 2016, flexible in duration, timetable and topics.
    IT WILL INCLUDE SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES FOR PUPILS WITH LOWER ABILITIES AND FOR PUPILS OF RECENT IMMIGRATION

     

    Expected results

    EDUCATIONAL: cooperative learning, learning by doing, peer education, awareness of European citizenship.
    DIDACTIC: creative writing; improvement of both oral and writing skills in English.
