School Elections at OA Příbram (Czech Republic)

    ELECTIONS TO THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AT OUR SCHOOL (OA a VOŠ Příbram) 

    On the 6th and 7th of May 2019 students aged 15+ from all over the Czech Republic could take part in "student elections" into the European Parliament. This activity is supported and organised by the NGO organisations "Jeden svět na školách" (One World in Schools). Our school regularly participates in election projects, where students can try their vote. Students forme an election comittee, put up posters, distributed voting tickets of the participating political parties and voiting can begin.

    RESULTS

    There were many parties that were listed on the ballot sheet.

    The winner at our school (OA a VOŠ Příbram) was the Pirate Party

    They were also the overall winners of the student elections in the Czech Republic

    The currently ruling party in the country ANO was not very successful, with someting over 5% of the vote.
