Příbram is a town located 60km south of Prague. It has about 35thousand inhabitants. For a long time it was a mining town, where silver was mined. During the communist rule, uranium was mined here. Luckily, the mines are closed for more than 30 years now.
A famous sight to see in our town is the Holy Mountain Chapel which used to be a popular place of pilgramage. (image taken from: https://pribram.eu)
The town has 9 primary schools and 8 secondary schools, some collages and a branch of a university. There are many sports clubs, a first league sports club (Spartak), volleyball, american football, gymnastics, athletics, cycling, ice-hockey and more.
