TM1: Sofia, Bulgaria, Dec.2018

  • On December 7-9, 2018, the project coordinator Association "Education without Barriers" organized the First transnational meeting of partners in Sofia. TM1 took place  at the central office of the Bulgarian Fulbright Commission on 12 Vitosha Blvd. Attending the meeting were 3 members of  Association “Education without Barriers”; 2 members of the project team from “Tsar Simeon Veliki" Secondary School (principal and contact person); 2 representatives of the Regional Department of Education-Vidin; 3 representatives of Mobil Imam Hatip School in Istanbul (principal and two teachers); 2 representatives of the Local Authority of Education in Istanbul. The partners from Stichting  International Youth Bridges (SIYB), Maastricht, participated in the meeting via  eTwinning . The partners from De La Salle College in  Malta, were unable to attend and therefore during the meeting they communicated with the attendees by email.

                  The  meeting agenda  included the following items:

     1) Introduction of partners;

     2) Discussion of partner agreements, tasks and responsibilities;

     3) Updating the schedule of activities planned for the first project year;

     4) Demonstrating the project methodology by a PPT presentation delivered by Dr. Julia Stefanova;

     5) Demonstrating the eTwinning platform by eTwinning Ambassador Tsvetanka Todorova from “Tsar Simeon Veliki ”  Secondary School in Vidin .

          All partners agreed on the following changes in the schedule of planned activities: 1) The short-term staff training in Malta originally scheduled for April 2019 will take place on June 20-25, 2019. 2) The 2nd Transnational meeting will take place in Istanbul on October  25-27, 2019.

           Prior to the Malta short-term  staff  training  in June, the partners agreed to hold four online events: 1) two online trainings on ICT tools to be conducted by  Tsvetanka  Todorova in February and May 2019; 2) two online trainings on the application of the innovative teaching methodology to be  conducted by Julia Stefanova from the coordinator’s  team in April and May 2019.

           All discussions during the first transnational meeting took place in a friendly and productive atmosphere and all attendees demonstrated strong commitment to the project and willingness to work hard for its successful completion.
