A webinar, that was broadcast on Thursday 28th March at 8 pm GMT, released Song 3 - I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing.
It also had some very interesting information for teachers around the world about how to use mobile technolgy for learning. The presentations of the webinar can be accessed on the padlet page below or HERE.
Finally, song 4 was released with some tips from Sharon Tonner-Saunders which are noted below.
If you wish to participate in song 4, please read the following tips/ instructions:
1. Sign up for the song by Monday 1st April at 8 pm GMT and state when you will be able to complete your assigned line. The closing date is Thursday 25th April 8 pm GMT. Please do not leave to the last minute - place in your teaching diaries.
2. Send a 5 second video to Sharon s . a . tonnersaunders @ dundee . ac. uk so that she can confirm if the quality of your video is acceptable.
3. Record your song outside your school building so that children can see what it is like in outside in your country. Song 4 is about dancing in the streets!
4. Get the children involved in deciding where to record, what to wear, who will be involved, possibly recording if they have the skills and deciding if they need to make another recording.
5. Send your video via email to Sharon and not through messenger so that the size and quality are not reduced. You can use Google Drive to place your recroding if your file is too big.
6. Record at the line before your line and the one after so that there is not a gap between lines. Remember, sing or say your line as this is a very important feature of Makaton.
7. If you record a section or all of the song, only send your assigned part to Sharon and place your bigger recording on Youtube. You can then share your recording on the padlet page after the song has been released.
8. If you are unable to record your video by the agreed date, please let Sharon know ASAP so that she can make other arrangements. It is not fair on the other children in the project if parts of the song are missing.
The sign up sheet can be accessed HERE.
The following videos, signed by Mike Carlin from Sing It Sign It, will assist you with signing your line. If you have any questions about specific signs, Mike is more than happy to assist (he is a member of our FB page, therefore, please send him a personal message rather than post on the page).
