Creative Teaching Approaches in Early Years and Pre-school Education

This full-week course was designed for early years, pre-school and primary staff, and aimed to improve knowledge and understanding of creative approaches in early years education. The course methodology encouraged active participation, sharing of good practice and reflection of teaching methodologies applied in the classroom to improve the provision and the quality of childhood education in the participants’ own settings.

Course specific educational aims:
• develop knowledge and understanding of creative teaching approaches in Early Years
• increase competence and confidence in using specific teaching techniques
• further develop knowledge and understanding of teaching techniques for specific groups, and provide teachers and educators with an array of ready made teaching resources suitable for their pupils
• provide an opportunity to share good practice and evaluate own teaching practice
• provide an opportunity to work collaboratively in developing their own teaching plans to use in the classroom
