700 Years from the creation of "Divina Commedia"

    2021 marks the 700th anniversary from the death of the Italian poet Dante Alighieri, who wrote the famous poem Divina Commedia, shaping the usage and giving importance to the Italian vernacular language.

    To celebrate this event, many initiatives have been issued, despite the pandemics.

    Here is a presentation of Dante's Inferno made by Italian students, with Italian and English text in the translation by Longfellow (Boston 1867) and illustrations from famous artists. Enjoy!
