Team Villa de Vícar

  • Your goal is to create a memory book from the mobility to Villa de Vícar, Spain. Since we are also an eTwinning project, their must be evidences that you worked collaboratively, so you must use twinspace tools (Forum, Discussion, Team´s board...)

    On 30th of April you'll present your work to the others groups and teachers in an online meeting.

    In this page you can:

  • Team's Board

    João's on the first day of the project

    Today we rode by van to Spain, the Trip was long and tiring and we ate at McDonald's, it was bad but at least on Spain's McDonald's we get the Almonds for the icecream for free which doesn't happen in Portugal.

    João's on the second day of the project

    In the morning I woke up early to take a bath. Then we left home to go to school by foot, during that walk we met 2 dogs a big fluffy one and a small cute one they were always toghether and followed us for most of the Trip, they were very good boys.
    After going to the school and meeting up with everybody from the project we did some ice breaking activities.
    Then we rode by bus to the water desanitation plant where we learned about the prossess of turning sea water into "drinkable" water.
    Afterwards we rode by bus to the plastic sea, the plastic sea is a field of greenhouses, in the greenhouses we learned about the idea and story of how greenhouses were made, learned about the system and ate some vegetables (also tomato).

    João's on the third day of the project

    Today after my morning routine we rode to by bus to the Punta Entina Sabinar natural Park where, we talked about protecting the habitat and how animals often got Run Over by cars, we played and took selfies with a snake corpse and were bitten by moskitos even though we used more repellent than a adolescent smoker trying to mask the smell of cigaretes with perfume.
    Then we went to a hill to eat, look at a beach, and talk about endangered sea animals.
    After that we went to the beach to collect trash and I also got some skipping stones as a memento. Afterwards we went back to the school for a presentation about sea plants and Then we got to play and fiddle with said plants and went back home.

    João's on the fourth day of the project

    Today we went to Durce to get the swimsuits for the snorkeling activity, there we met some friendly cats and a timid dog they were very good boys.
    After putting on the suits and taking some photos we went snorkeling, there we Saw the algae and plants we studied the other day and some other animals, the One that stood out the most was a jellyfish.
    Then while we waited for the other groups to finish the activity we made some changes to our presentation we made about ria formosa.
    Next we went to some stores, came back to school by bus, and every group showed their presentations.

    João's on the fith day of the project

    Today we went by bus to a harbor to see how it works, the system was very airport like, it was interesting.
    After that we did a game trial where we searched for qr codes in a specific area and used them to complete a questionary in a certain amount of time, the rules were not well defined wich made us loose a lot of time and angered me.
    Then for the rest if the day we had free time to go shopping.

    João's on the sixth day of the project

    Today we rode by bus to a microalgae farm where we learned about the means of production, treatment process and uses of the algae, it was interesting to see the machinery and i liked the smell of the facility.
    Then we went to the salinas where they did an explanation of the process of making salt using a three dimensional map, needless to say it was very boring.
    Following that we visited a restaurant/bar and explored the area while the teachers ate.
