Angel Karaliychev was born in 1902 in Strazhitsa. He is a Bulgarian author, editor, writer and translator. For more than forty years, Angel Karaliychev has been writing stories, fairy tales and children’s novellas. One of his most beloved books is “Fairy World.” For her, in 1974, Karaliychev received from The International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) The Hans Christian Andersen Award, the highest international recognition given to an author of children’s books.
