On Wednesday that was 5th day of our wonderful adventure in Iraklion, many exciting activities were waiting for us. Firstly we visited the Archeological Site of Knossos. The guide told us about history of this place, what secrets it hides and some curiosities too. Visiting this place made a really huge impression on me. In my opinion if you ever have a chance to visit it, you should definitely do it without any hesitation! It's really worth seeing! After that, we took part in Q&A session with 1 members of the EU Parliament organised by Europe Direct Crete. It was undeniably inspiring. Lastly, we travelled to the traditional village od Anogeia which is placed in mountains. At first we had a delectable late lunch, during which we had an opportunity to try some of the Greece delicacies. Afterwards, we had some free time to walk around the village, admire the views and take some photos. It was my second Erasmus+ exchange and it was as remarkable as the first one in Italy. Maybe even more. This exchange is one of the memories that I will never forget. It was truly an amazing experience.

At the beginning of May, a group of students from Skała went to Greece as part of implementation of the Erasmus + program. Our school has been carrying out projects "Erasmus +" for many years and according to the project assumptions we visited our partner - the city of Heraklion in Greece on the island of Crete. We traveled by plane from the Balice airport and the journey lasted about 2 hours. Time spent in Greece was divided between work on the project and cultural activities around the area. During the trip we had classes on various topics. All lessons were interesting and useful. Students from Greece had prepared for us information about the history of the country, about breaking stereotypes, about meditation and mindfullness. After classes, we visited the city, ate typical Greek meals and got to know the local culture. For me, a visit to Greece was very useful and unforgettable. I am still in contact with several people, what makes me very happy. I hope to see them again in October.

The time In Iraklion was unforgettable! I was looked after by Ivona Vasileva ,who was both hospitable and funny. I was In Crete for the first time, it is a very nice place. I think it’s incredible that the sea surrounds us from all sides I will never forget the time spent there. I like the castle by the sea and I remember the anchor we wanted to pull out! We did make friends! I would like to go back there again, if there was a chance.

Of all the days I remember the last day the best when we went to the rocky beaches nearby. There was a beautiful sun and we could rest after a hard week and sunbathe. Later, with a whole group of new friends from Spain and Greece, we went by bus to the sandy beach and some of us dared to enter the water, which was cool. Throughout the day we were accompanied by smiles and a nice atmosphere.

My week in Heraklion was really magical. I was for the first time in students' exchange. I met fascinating peope. I learnt new culture, explored the city and ate traditional food. I remember one day in particular we all went to a village in the mountains- Anogeia. The ride was wonderful, winding through mountain roads, passing some interesting villages. We ate local dishes. We could try other dishes than in Poland. I especially liked donuts with honey, cinnamon and ice cream. It had been a wonderful week, one that would give me pleasant memories for the rest of my life.

The third day of our stay in Heraklion was full of interesting and fantastic places. In the morning we visited the Minos Palace in Knosos - the traces of civilization from 1700 B.C. made an amazing impression. Then we participated in a session, at one of schools in Heraklion, under the slogan "This time I'm voting" regarding the upcoming elections to the European Parliament. It was very informative and interesting because I had never seen anything like it, much less participated. Closer to the evening we went to the restaurant in the Anogei - a small settlement in the mountains. When I saw from the height of Night Heraklion, my breathing stopped. I forgot about hunger and everything else, I wanted to stand there and enjoy the landscape. All this made this day incredibly cool and unforgettable. I am very glad that I had the opportunity to participate in this project.

During one day of our exchange we went with the whole group to cretaqvarium. It was wonderful there . We saw huge fish , sea animals and plants. We could go there alone and take a lot of photos , which did make a big impression on me. It was definitely worth seeing. When we left, we went to see the beach , go into the water and spend some time on the seashore . Before leaving we entered the book of visitors as a souvenir. After returning we had dinner which was delicious, we could try local delights. I really liked the dark bread sandwiches with tomato paste and cheese and my delicacy was Arabian pita . It had been a wonderful exchange, one that would give me pleasant memories for the rest of my life. I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn something about foreign customs .
