Today has been a work day, we have started the morning with an activity based on cooperative learning, through practical work. To do this, we have first been explained what sustainability is, and then we have put it into practice with a small example.
A lot of cardboard has been collected for several weeks in order to create something new with it. We have to reuse and recycle it. The students had to create a chair that could support their own weight and a work table that we could leave a computer on. For this, they have first been given practical examples of furniture already made in cardboard, and students in groups have had to create scale models and then decide which one they were going to build in real size.
The experience has been fantastic, the students have worked in groups making sketches and scale models, as well as small resistance tests to see if their models worked. Creating handmade and creative works.
To end the morning nothing better than relaxing with a bike ride through the streets of Allerod, enjoying the landscape and the views.
