How can we motivate young people to vote?

  • What can we do to motivate young people to vote in the 2019 European election?              Please add your ideas!

Definitely, we have to make our students aware of the fact that they are not just Croats, Germans, Italians, French..., that they are also citizens of Europe!

We have to make/ help them believe that they have something to say... and that they have to say something... for the sake of better Europe! Why not practicing public speech pretending that you were a future Euro Parliament representative'''Why not creating infographics presenting your political ideas, programs...? Why not debating on some important issues??? Sending a letter of support to European/ eTwinning friends having some problems''' (Oh, we do have environmental problems we need help with!)

We can encourage our students to collaborate with European institutions in their local community, to participate in public/ panel discussions and mobility activities...

Think globally, act locally! Take the vote HERE and affect everybody HERE & THERE!!!

At least this is what Cro Ss think...

    as to Italians:

we know very well an official of the EU Commission staff, he now lives in Rome but has worked in Brussels for a long time. We could ask him a lecture on EU policies, their points of strength and weakness: Before he comes, every school could send us questions. Then, we could film him and use the conference as a sort of "Ted's talk" to discuss issues and problems.
