In the secondary school students can learn playing an instrument choosing among piano,
violin, drums or flute. The majority of our students comes from middle-class families and don’t have particular problems in learning, but some of them come from problematic economical and/or social contexts, some children don’t speak well Italian, others have relational and/or learning disturbances. The aim of the school is to guarantee each of them to grow up developing knowledge, abilities and competences respecting their needs, their attitudes and potentials, according to the requests of their
families. So we try to adapt the national program to specific demands adopting flexibility in contents and methods, promoting integration, searching for new strategies, including extra school activities, etc. The school is interested to the theme of the project because we want : to raise awareness in our students about the importance of having solid cultural roots before becoming responsible European
citizens; to build their knowledge about their own territory and let them share it with the others; to learn more about other Countries; to find common values in meeting other people; to improve English as vehicular language.
