    For teachers

     

    - Try to follow the calendar (if you are not going to be able to do it, let your partners know the reasons)

    - Keep personal information personal, don’t upload personal images with personal information such as family name, complete address, phone number, etc. If you do it, keep the page private (only for eTwinners)

    - Try to avoid close-ups of children’s faces or pixelate them

    - Don’t use any tool not allowed for the age of your students (Facebook, Instagram…)

    - Don’t let your students use any tool that you can’t control

    - Be aware of copyright and if you borrow something from someone (images, music, video, etc.) give them the credit, and try to use copyright free resources.

    - Review your students’ wall and their forum entries. You are responsible if they don’t behave and you will need to act.

    - Remind your students to answer the messages they receive

    - NEVER upload together pictures of students with personal information.

    For students

    - While working in the project, if you find something which is not appropriate let your teacher know.
    - Never write all capital letters.
    - Don’t use tools that you are not allowed to by age (Facebook, Instagram, etc)
    - Don’t upload your photo with personal information except into private places
    - Be polite when you communicate with your partners.
    - Don’t use lots of emojis
    - Try to be grammatically correct
    - Use a dictionary in case of spelling problems
    - Don’t use any image, music or video that is not free and report the fonts where you found the images, music or video that you use
    - Always answer to the messages you receive in the forum, wall or email
    - Be sensible when watching your partners work and try to be constructive when criticizing their work.​

    We analized the students`rules and we discussed about some of them. We also spoke about the Internet dangers and how they must act in case they find something that is not appropriate or that makes them feel unconfortable.

    In Greece we spoke a lot about the netiquette rules especially on

    Safer Internet Day, on the 5th of February, and we celebrated it by drawing pictures!
